“What would you like to do tonight?” you asked me with a warm look in your eyes. “We could stay in and chill, watch some TV? Or go out for dinner.” I thought it over before replying about dinner. You nodded, kissing my forehead and cupping my face in your hands, smiling. You told me to get ready and I did. Not much fit me now considering how many tight clothes I used to wear. I picked a black flowing dress with a v neck and long sleeves. Only a small amount of make up as you said I looked beautiful without it.

You waited at the bottom of the stairs, wearing black trousers, a black shirt with the collar undone. Looking great as always.

I took your arm as you helped me out of the Taxi, making sure my dress didn’t get caught on my small high heels.

The dinner was great as expected, our favourite restaurant always serving wonderful food. I ate stuffed red peppers and you had some sort of pasta dish. You took my hand across the table and kissed it.

“I love you baby girl. I want to make you happy, forever.” You got up from the table and knelt on the ground, pulling out a small velvet box, my eyes suddenly widened as I realised…

“Courtney… will you make me the happiest man alive and become my wife?” I was so shocked; tears started rolling down my face. I tried to not cry and through my sobs you could hear my quiet “Yes.”

The restaurant burst into applause as you took me into your arms.
