Six months into my pregnancy I was starting to get a baby bump, the scans were showing good signs of a healthy baby and we were both excited about when we could find out about the gender. We were on our way to our seventh month scan and I was staring at the monitor screen with wide eyes.

“What do you mean twins?” the white blob had gotten a lot bigger, and turned into two white blobs.

“That means there are two, baby girl…” you looked as shocked as I must have. My smile almost cracked my face in half.

“We’ll need to think of more names.” I squealed and jumped into your arms. You kissed me and put me back onto the bed, we looked at each other with huge smiles.

“You have one of each also, a baby boy and girl. I hope it’s what you wanted.” The nurse smiled at us both with warm eyes as we started crying together, holding each other. Saying how much we love each other.

“You getting pregnant was the best thing that happened to me baby girl!” We kissed, my bump pressing into you. I stroked our babies. We were having twins!
