I lay in the bath, turning my hand over to look at the beautiful ring on my finger. I smiled, stroking our twins. You could hear the rippling of the water as I moved in the steamed room; I started to hum, looking around at the wet tiles and fluffy towels when I felt something inside me move. I gasped, the babies were kicking. I screamed your name and you came running in. “Give me your hand quick!” I took your hand and placed it on my belly. Your eyes widened as you put both hands into the bathtub, holding my belly. Our eyes met as I said “they’re going to be beautiful.” You started to stroke my hair as you kissed me. Hand still on my belly. I couldn’t help but smile, I couldn’t ask for a better father.
