"Truth or dare?" Ryan asked Tom as a small group of them sat by the pool as the 4th of July festivities began.

"Um.... Dare." Tom replied, taking a deep breath as many people's jaws dropped and Blake started to snigger, knowing the extent of Ryan's dares.

"Okay... I've got a good one.... I dare you to wear the t-shirt I brought you all day today." Ryan said with an almighty smirk.

This made everyone a little confused, as only Ryan and Tom knew what t-shirt he was talking about. It was meant as a joke, but now Ryan was going to use it. They had previously met at an event as they were both part of the Marvel world, and had oddly similar perspectives on things, although Tom was a little more serious that Ryan.

"Seriously?" Tom said, rolling his eyes as Ryan nodded slowly, trying not to laugh.

"Wait, babe, what t-shirt did you give him?" Blake asked, to which Ryan replied by whispering in her ear, making her burst into laughter, "Oh yeah, I like this dare."

"Fine.... If you'd all excuse me for a moment." Tom said, getting up and leaving the room, walking towards Taylor's bedroom which he was sharing for the weekend.

By this point Blake had whispered what the t-shirt was to a couple of other people and it had spread like wildfire to most of the room except Taylor.

"So when are we going swimming?" Cara asked enthusiastically.

"Umm... how about we finish this game of truth or dare – it's only Austin left anyway – then we all head down to the beach?" Taylor suggested, "Then –"

Taylor stopped short as she saw Tom re-enter the room across from her, his t-shirt catching her eyes immediately. She smiled and then looked around to find everyone's eyes on her, making her laugh.

"Okay, your turn Tom.... You get to ask Austin." Taylor said, beckoning him back over to sit next to her, and leaning on him slightly.

"Okay... Truth or dare?" Tom asked Austin.

"Dare.... 100%." Austin said, raising his eyebrows in challenge towards Tom.

"Hmmmm...." Tom looked at him, thinking, "Recite a long poem- longer than 10 lines- while doing push ups."

"Easy!" Austin said, "And I have the perfect poem." Austin smirked at Taylor, who just looked confused as he got in position to do his push-ups, "This is called 'A monster in my closet'.....There's a monster in my closet and I don't know what to do! Have you ever seen him? Has he ever pounced on you?....."

Taylor blushed and buried her face in Tom's shoulder as Britt and Ben laughed, having known Taylor when she wrote the poem as a child.

"Did you have to choose that one? How do you even know it?" Taylor asked Austin as soon as he was finished.

"Well..." Austin said with a shrug.

"Wait... are we all missing something here?" Ryan asked.

"Teffy wrote that poem when she was like 9." Austin said to the rest of the group, "I was just messing with her."

"Let's just all get going!" Taylor said, turning away from the conversation and leading the group towards the beach access.

"That was a lovely poem... so much talent from such a young age." Tom said, leaning close so only Taylor would hear, "I am in awe of you everyday"

"And I am in awe of the fact you are wearing that top.... I love it." She replied, turning her head to give him a quick kiss before they all went to the beach.

"Yeah... I kind of like it.... It echoes my sentiments entirely." He replied, completely seriously, making Taylor blush slightly and grin at him.
