Chapter 3 - Nick Names and Sick Games

"Anyway, my name's Tetsurou Kuroo. This is the Ophelia's base. I'm the leader of the group."
Kuroo said and put his hand out for Yachi to shake it.

Yachi shook his hand cautiously. "I'm Hitoka Yachi. I thought there were three of you." Yachi said looking around for the other person.

"There is, but he doesn't really like new people. He's very shy. I can go get him if you want." Kuroo suggested.

"Sure, why not. I want to make sure I meet everyone before I decide to join." Yachi said and let go of Kuroo's hand.

"Alright! Then I'll be back. Kiyoko, you take her to the dragons roost."

"How many times have I told you not to call it that..!" Kiyoko slightly yelled.

Kuroo waved his hand as if to say whatever and went to go get the other member.

"He's... Special." Yachi comment and laughed awkwardly.

"Yeah. Even though he's the leader I often take care of him. He's so irresponsible sometimes." Kiyoko said, crossing her arms and shaking her head.

"Well, at least I got to meet him. Maybe I can help you take care of him sometime."

Both of them continued to walk until they made it to where Kuroo and the other member were supposed to be. The man looked over at Yachi and immediately hid behind Kuroo, hissing. Kuroo placed his hand on the smaller males head.

"Shhh~ calm down. I know you don't like new people, but this might be our new member okay?" Kuroo said calmly and leaned down, kissing the other on top of his head and attempting to step away. The other male only clung onto Kuroo more. "C'mon..."

"I... I don't trust her Tetsu.. Something about her is just off." The other whispered.

"Mm... Well if anything bad happens you know what to do." Kuroo said and the smaller male nodded. "Good. Always remember." Kuroo managed to get himself away from the male.

"My names..." The male drifted off and looked over at Kuroo. "Do I have to tell her my name?"

Kuroo sighed. "Yes or I'll tell her for you."

Just then the small male ran back over to Kuroo and hid behind him.

"You tell her Tetsu..."

Kuroo sighed yet again. "This," he said pointing to the pudding-like male,"is Kenma Kozume."

Kenma looked up at Kuroo and then back at Yachi. "Nice to meet you... Yachi.." He said softly.

"Nice to meet you too Kozume." She said smiling.

"Just call me by my first name please."

"Oh okay." Yachi said and thought for a second. "Although you might've put me at gun point. I guess I'll join your group, but I have to know if I have your full trust, Kenma."

Kenma looked over at her and nodded. "You do." He said, flat out lying.

"Good." Yachi moved her gaze over to Kuroo. "So is it settled then?" She asked and Kuroo nodded.

"Yes it is Yacchan!" He said with a big smile.

Kiyoko sighed. "It seems he's already thought of a nick name for you." Kiyoko smiled a bit as she turned to Yachi. "I'll show you where you'll be staying, kay?" Yachi nodded and the two of them left.

Kuroo stepped forward and turned around as soon as the girls left.

"You don't trust her do you?" He asked crossing his arms.

Kenma looked down. "Not at all. You don't hate me for lying r-right." Kenma looked up, tears in his eyes. Kuroo immediately went over and hugged him.
