-- ???? POV --

Going into the group was hard for me. I wasn't like everyone else there at all. Why did I decide to join this place again? That's right... I needed to help her so she wouldn't turn. They've been keeping her here in isolation some how. They're getting closer to obtaining a cure. I don't know how they've managed to come so close with all the times it's been messed up. So many failed attempts... I was knocked out my thoughts by the sound of an alarm.

"Get into positions now!" A General yelled to all of his cadets. I stood up and walked out the door, through the halls and to the room where she was staying. The room was big, filled with wires, machines, tubes, so many things. I walked up to a glass like case, big enough to fit a six foot human. That's where she was. She was only five foot, but all that extra space was used to put wires and some tubes and injectors. It actually helped, though time was running out. Previous scans showed that she was slowly coming to the verge of turning. They slowed it down. I don't think it'll last. So, if everything goes wrong one more time, they're going to kill her. I can't have that happen. If she turns then I'm taking her some place else. Somewhere where she won't get killed. I promised her I would think of a way to keep her alive. I can't break a promise. I can't! If I break a single promise he'll come after me. I can't have that happen, not at all. It's not going to happen.

Doctors suddenly started to flood the room and push me away from the capsule. They were injecting her with the fluid to see if it would slow down the turning process even more than it has already. Her screams pierced the air in the room. It wasn't just some normal injection. For this injection they needed some type of reaction out her to see if it was working. They needed to wake her up and make sure that nothing is going wrong with the what ever they seemed to have concocted in their labs. Or at least that's what they told me.

When I first arrived here with her I was unsure about everything. She was bit, I thought they would get scared and shoot her and that'd be the end of it. End of her and the end of me. I entered the building cautiously and immediately they took her. Straight from my grasp, she was gone in an instant. They took her to a room and they tied her up, examining everything about her. The way her eyes dilate under light, how she acts and sounds when she's scared and even how she reacts to different kinds of pain. Emotional, physical, mental. You name it and they did it. After all of the examinations they put her in the capsule she's in now and injected her with the "cure" time after time after time. They just continued. They still are now. Was this a good idea? Probably not, but what am I going to do about it now. This is how she is. This is how it'll stay until they find a cure.

-- ????'s POV --

"The end... The end for me is here.. I know it..." I whispered softly as the walker came closer to me. I was stuck, Kunimi and Kyoutani were no where to be found and Shibayama was already being eaten alive by the other walkers.

"Should I end it now..? Should I live..?" When I was thinking, Shibayama's screams stopped. The walker tried to get me, but for some reason I dodged it. I kept dodging and dodging, getting up off of the ground and screaming. "I don't want to die!!" I grabed the closest thing next to me and hit the walkers head, decapitating it. I went over to the head and crushed it underneath my foot.

"There you are!" I heard someone yell.

-- ????'s POV --

We ran through the halls with him. We just lost Yahaba due too walkers. He was pretty shaken up due to Yahaba's death. Correction he was really shaken up about it. He kept shrugging it off like it was nothing , but it was killing him. You could see it in his eyes, the way he walked or killed walkers. He was breaking.

After going down another flight from the mall we were in, we ran into yet another horde. It was hard for him not to loose control, but he did in the end. He went ballistic. Screaming and yelling, bashing the walkers heads in and breathing heavily. That's where he went wrong.

"Kyoutani!!" I yelled, trying to reach out for him, but I was too late. A walker managed to catch hold of him and bite him. The others walkers went to him. As selfish as it might sound, I took the time to escape and get away. "I'm so sorry..." I whispered, going down yet another flight and spotting him.

"There you are!" I yelled running up to him and grabbing his arm dragging him to the escalator and pulling him down it, running as fast as I could. We ended up stopping in the middle of the escalator.

"Kunimi, slow down!"

"Why should I, Goshiki?! Yahaba, Kyoutani and Shibayama are already dead!! Why can't we just make a quick escape now?!" I yelled. I know I shouldn't be yelling, but I could care less at this point. I just want to get out with Goshiki. He was like a brother to me. I could never let him die. "Please, Goshiki. Please just let's get of here please!!!" I pulled roughly on his arm, but he managed to stay in his place.

"We aren't leaving until we find him!" Goshiki yelled back.

"hkjdsbidsukjvwelk!!! He's probably already dead anyway so why go and save him?!?!?!?!"

Goshiki's eyes widened. "Don't you dare say that about Shirabu! Knowing him he's probably still alive!" Walkers were coming closer and closer by the second and I was getting fed up.

"Goshiki, he's dead!! Kyoutani and I found him and tried to save him, but he was taken by the walkers so he shot himself!!"

"You're lying! You just want to get out of here so you can live!"

"I'm. Not. Lying!!!!" I pushed Goshiki down the escalator without thinking too much about it. "Why would I lie to you?! You're like a brother to me! I would never lie to you or do anything to lose your trust!!!" I ran down the escalator after realizing what I had done and went to Goshiki. "I'm so sorry I didn't mean to push you I-" I was cutoff by two hands firmly being wrapped around my neck.

"I know how you can be, Kunimi. Deceiving everyone."

"Go... shi.. ki..!!" I gasped for breath and pulled out my pocket knife, stabbing Goshiki in the arm. He immediately responded, but ended up punching me in the face. I threw him off of me and got up running towards the entrance. I didn't want to fight Goshiki, but the feeling a sharp pain going through my leg stopped me. I looked down and pulled the knife out my leg and Goshiki took this time and tackled me. I bit his shoulder, breaking the skin that was exposed and threw him off of me again. I proceeded to get up, picking Goshiki up off the ground only to slam him back down on the ground, stepping on his stomach and kicking his side multiple times. He grabbed my leg and pulled me down, causing my head to hit the cold, hard floor. I stayed on the ground for a couple seconds, getting up and feeling light headed, my head pounding in pain afterwards. I stumbled a bit, slowly getting a hold of myself. Goshiki charged towards me and I endured it, throwing him off into a walker. Once I noticed what I did I ran towards the walker, kicking him off of Goshiki.

"Kunimi, I think you should just leave me here." Goshiki whispered and showed me multiple bite marks on his stomach and a fresh one on his arm. The ones on his stomach looked like they were made hours ago. Probably about an hour, but it was still bad. The one on his arm was made just now.

"Are you sure..?" I said trying not to stutter. He nodded and slowly got up, going towards the walkers closest to us.

"I'll try and fight them off! Get as far away as possible and patch up those wounds!" He yelled, running off further into the mall. I ran as far away as possible before passing out in front someone with black hair.
