Dark. Darker than he was used to. He didn't dare to pay attention to it though. He just stayed still, laying there, asking why the world decided to let this happen.
Akaashi was always a silent one. Stayed out of trouble and dealt with their leader. Akaashi belonged to the Malefic group. The most known group located in a small area they dwelled in. The only reason this group is so notorious was because of how many groups they've come upon and how many groups they seemed to disband.
Everyone in that group was either a traitor of a separate group or just plain savages. They would do anything to get what they wanted. Akaashi was like them in a way. He and Bokuto once belonged to a small group called the Ophelia. They became separated with the other members after a walker infestation and they never found them again. It's been so long since Akaashi has seen them and he presumes they're dead. He doesn't look for them anymore. He gave up long ago and after he gave up he became more quiet than before.
After laying alone in the dark, he thought it was about time to go out and help Bokuto patrol the perimeter of the base.
He sighed and finally got up, walking to the meeting place after getting what he needed.
"Akaashi-san, you ready to go?" Bokuto asked blandly and Akaashi nodded. Ever since they left the group, Bokuto has lost all of his excited and obnoxious, yet interesting qualities. Akaashi honestly misses hearing the loud owl-like boy and and the mischievous cat-like male challenge each other to who can kill the most walkers or who can run around the base the longest without passing out afterwards. He misses it all.
Akaashi started to tear up while thinking of the past. He never thought he'd cry again, but he did.
"Akaashi-san..? You alright?" Bokuto asked, concerned for his friend.
"Uh.. Yeah," Akaashi wiped his tears away. "Everything fine." He said trying to sound as straightforward as possible.
"You miss them don't you?" Bokuto blurted out.
Akaashi jumped and looked down, nodding. "I do.. I really do." Akaashi said and finally broke out into tears. Bokuto brought him far from the camp and tried to help him calm down. If the other members saw Akaashi crying then they would think he was weak and they'd probably kill him or feed him to the walkers.
"Shh.. You'll be fine. We can always ditch this group. I mean I managed to pull you away from it." Bokuto said, smiling down at him.
"Bokuto-san, we need to get food and supplies. We can't just run away with nothing but these weapons."
"Trust me. I've been preparing for this day for awhile now." He said and pulled Akaashi's hand running towards an abandoned shed. Bokuto opened the shed and took out two bags and a couple other weapons.
Akaashi was amazed at all of this. The fact that Bokuto would also want to leave made Akaashi feel better or something like that. It was an emotion he couldn't explain. Akaashi ran over to Bokuto and hugged him before grabbing a bag and slinging it over his shoulder. "Shall we go then?" Akaashi asked and Bokuto nodded.
Bokuto and Akaashi were both traitors in a way, but they were also killers. They we forced to kill most random people they came upon, but other times they just did it. Akaashi didn't like it and he wasn't sure what Bokuto thought about it. The two took off to where they think their old group would be. Akaashi hopes they'll accept them back in.
