Chapter One

I sat quietly trying not to sneeze once more in the quiet environment. My sister was being crowned queen of Tretas, a country in Zectrom. Every land had its own king and queen.

She's been married for six years. He was a gentleman and treated Zella wonderfully. However, I had a deep hatred towards him for taking my sister away from me.

My sister and I were very close, she was my best friend but she was rushed into marriage to please my father.

She's been married to Dextor for a few years and he was a prince until his dad died a year ago. Now he is carrying along his father's legacy as becoming king, along with taking Zella as queen.

The traditional age for marriage was sixteen, I am eighteen and I'm not yet married and I was considered a "disgrace" to family.

My mom wasn't like that though. She loved me and never wanted me to do things just to impress other kings and queens or kingdom workers. Like some people did. Yes, I'm speaking of my father.

He is the Emperor of Frexan and the right hand man of the King of Frexan and he isn't quite happy with the way I'm acting as a Zectromian Emperor's daughter, he states he loves me though... And I believe him but I'm not like most daughters.

I'm wild and I'm hardly in the kingdom, except for food and sleeping and maybe a few other things.

I explore, I get dirty, I ride dragons. Literally, I have a pet dragon named LuLu, and I have awesome powers gifted from my father.

Surprisingly I am very trained and in most situations, I can control my powers. Many girls with powers in Zectrom aren't as trained and well as me.

I think it's mostly because some of the girls jump into marriage and having kids that they don't have time to train or anything of that sort.

I,however, have nothing close to that to distract me, I am free. Even though, my dad slightly regrets giving me powers because I'm pretty irresponsible.

I waved at my sister with my hand up high for her to see as she got her crown placed on her head. Everyone looked at me but it didn't bother me. My mother nudged me.

So I put my hand down. Zella waved back at me but it wasn't the regular sloppy wave she and I usually exchanged when we missed each other.

Her wave was queen like. It was stiff and she slightly moved her hand from left to right, and right to left.

I didn't quite like this version of her, but this was probably the last I was going to see her in a few months.

I sneezed once more, which drew attention to me once again.Victor,my dad, looked at me once again annoyed.

I looked at him shrugging my shoulder motioning that it's not my fault.

It was a super long ceremony and of course I was happy for Zella but I can't stay in one boring place for too long. After the ceremony, I went up to my sister.

"Zella!" I yelled running to her.

She was getting ready to go in a huge carriage with her husband and a few other people who worked in the kingdom.

Two big body guards blocked me from going any closer to my sister.

"Hey! I demand to go to my sister! She is my sister not yours baldy! Let me in, do you know how long I haven't seen her?!" I yelled kind of immaturely.

"Excuse, she can come sit with me" Zella tapped both of them.

They moved to the side and I grinned hugely. I ran into my sister's arms tightly.

"I missed you Zells" I said hugging her. "I missed you too, Kali" she said hugging me and slightly rubbing her hands on my back.

"Kali? You mean Bo-Bo" I said confused. She always called me Bo-Bo, it was just a nick name but it was so important to me. " Sorry Bo-Bo , I forgot" she giggled.

I giggled back but I was worried that she would forget about me. "So are you excited, you're going to live in a castle forever. Your gonna have a personal chef, a house keeper, servants, you're going to be royalty" I said big eyed and super happy for her.

Even though it was totally opposite from how we were raised. "Of course I'm happy, I'm just going to be away from you, mother, and father for so long.

"I know, but Being Queen is your calling, and you've got to answer it". I said giving her another hug.
"So, this is good-bye" I said sadly.

I couldn't believe that this was really good bye. I looked at her hoping she would say nope, this is not good bye but, it was.

"Yep" she said and gave me a huge hug. "I'll write you every day"she said hopping into the carriage.

"Bye Kali" Dextor said to me. "Bye" I said waving them both away as they rode off. I promised myself I wouldn't cry but tears gathered and I cried...but I swear, only a little bit.

I went back inside and told my mom I was going home on LuLu. She was waiting outside for me by a huge •Acolok tree. I rubbed Lulu's head and neck.

"She's actually gone" i said. Even though she didn't know anything I said.

I jumped on Lulu and grabbed her •Halter and she flew off.

• Acolok : A tree in Zectrom that produces Zectromian sugar and has royal blue leaves and a light blue trunk

• Halter : the rope you would use to halt a horse or make it go.

One thing I forgot, Kali's hair changes color based on her emotions.
