I turn as Liam leaves and call over Shadow.
"Well, well, well look who it is." I hear a manly voice say as boots thump into the hall.
"Who is it?" I ask as I slowly set my hand on the door knob.
"What? You don't recall this voice?" The man asks.
Suddenly I remember. I remember the terrible things that voice yelled at me. I remember the fights that I would hear going on while I was in my room. I remember.
"What are you doing hear, Dad?" I sneer.
"Well you know. Just checking up on my blind daughter." He says put emphasis on blind.
"I am just fine, now get out, you know that you are not welcome here." I growl as I push myself as close to the door as I can.
He laughs and I hear him come closer to me.
"So I saw that you've got yourself a boy there. Do I need to go a teach him a lesson?" He asks in a whisper.
I am shaking.
I try to push him away from me, but he pins my wrists to the wall.
"Get away from me!" I exclaim.
"What are you going to do? Call your boy?" My father sneers.
He grabs both of my wrists on one hand and tears my glasses of my face.
Look at that ugly scared face. I don't know how that boy could love you." He growls.
I feel tears come to my unseeing eyes.
"You should just die." He presses something cold and sharp to my neck. I think it's a knife.
I scream at the top of my lungs.
Seconds later I hear Liam yell, "CASSIE? CASSIE ARE YOU OKAY?"
"LIAM!" I yell, shaking.
"You stupid girl!" My dad exclaims and he throws me to the floor.
I hear the door slam open and my father's boots run out of my flat.
"Cassie? Cassie?" Liam asks as his voice comes closer to me. "Are you okay?"
"I'm alright." I reply as he helps me up.
"Who was that?" He asks as he hugs me.
"That was my father." I sigh.
