Just a small note here. Um, as you know, Jin went and studied a bit in Sydney, Australia. So... I just changed it to Melbourne instead. Haha.

Carry on now...

I read the weather on my phone and pulled my cap on tighter. It was supposed to be a bit drizzly of rain. I snapped on my watch and made sure that I had enough time to walk to the library, return books and be on time for my classes.

It was warm. Why the hell did I wear a sweater.

My phone buzzed. "Who could be calling me already?"

"Sangchil?"

"Yeah."

"I'm just tell you, Charlotte and I won't be home later. We're going out."

"Okay, have fun."

"Will you be okay eating by yourself?"

I fake cried. "Yeah. I'll miss your food, though. You evil Jin."

"If you really can't—I can make something quickly."

"Nah, nah, nah. Enjoy your day with your girlfriend while I try not to fall asleep in class."

Jin snickered. "Just make sure you don't drool. Bye."

"See ya."

I rode by myself while starring out the window, watching the cars stop and go. Occasionally I had to move so elderly people could sit.

I was bored. I needed something to happen in my life.

I repositioned my bag on my shoulders before getting out and opening the door to the quiet library.

"Hello." I said.

Funny thing, I remember when I was trying to adapt to speaking English, I felt so awkward. Sometimes I will forget and greet people in Korean by accident. That was embarrassing.

The librarian smiled. "Finished your books?" she replied.

"Ah—Yes." I placed them down. "Thank you."

Now I feel a bit more confident, even though I can't speak it fluently. I was thankful that they had a foreign section where they keep books in different languages.

I was startled when I heard the sound of falling books. It was a quiet library, you don't expect loud noises to occur.

I walked closer to the sound, wanting to know what was going on.

"Ah... No, no, no!" Someone whispered.

I poked my head out a bit. I saw a person crouched down and picking up fallen books. They were everywhere. It was a male, who was wearing a baseball cap and an oversized jean jacket.

I just stood frozen there. I felt like I should help him, but then what if he starts talking? That's the problem, that big language barrier.

He turned around and his eyes widened. "Oh."

"D-Do you need... Help?" I stuttered.

He sheepishly chuckled. "Sure."

I bent down the same height as him and collected the books.

"Thank you." He said. His English was so good.

I got to look at his face. Handsome. Then I gasped and looked at the time. "No! I'm late!" I yelled out in Korean.

I dashed out there, leaving him surprised. I ran with all my might. Later as I entered the hall, my heart was ready to explode any minute.

"I'm... Sorry sir!" I said.

"It's okay, sit down Miss. Kwan." The teacher waved his hand away.

I thought I was the only one who was madly late, but then another person came in. "I'm sorry professor!" A male voice shouted.

"Yes, yes. So many people are late today... Sit down Mr. Kim."

Kim? He's Korean? Does he speak it well?

As he walked up to take a seat, we both looked at each other. He mouth opened a bit but then he closed it. What was his name? It was sooo rare meeting another Korean here.

I looked back at him, he had his eyes on me too. I blinked and kept starring. He grinned, making his cheeks stand out.

I could feel myself get red and turned away. I brushed my bangs, maybe he was just looking at someone behind me.

My lunch break was the best. Not only was it longer than my previous ones, but I had places where I could entertain myself. I lifted up my bag and books, deciding to watch the nearby basketball game where some students were playing.

I was still a foreign loner, sitting by myself at the end of the bench while other girls were talking in English with each other and doing their regular lives.

"Oh yeah man~Yes!"

It was that same person who dropped all those books in the library. Kim-something.

I saw as he high-fived another person on his team and then walked away to get a sip of water. He drank for a long time until he looked up at the benches, and saw me.

I had a short breath and scurried to move.

"Aren't you going to stay until the game is done?"

I turned around, it was the same guy. He spoke to me in Korean. So he is Korean!

"You can speak Korean?" I replied back.

"Of course! I'm Korean! Are you?"

I nodded. "Yeah."

"Why were you speaking English earlier then?" He said.

"Because I didn't know if you could understand my first language."

"Yah, if I spoke to you in English, you should reply back in English. I can tell yours sucks."

I furrowed my eyebrows. "Rude."

"The truth." He took off his cap, showing off dark brown hair that was sweaty. "I'm Hanbin."

Hanbin. Kim Hanbin. "Do you have and English name?" I asked.

"No, why would I? Everyone calls me B.I, though. Either Hanbin or B.I. Do you?"

"Same. People call my Sangchil."

"Your name is Sangchil?"

"Yeah."

He stuck out his hand. "Hi Korean friend!"

I giggled. He was so childish. "Hello."

"Are you gonna stay and watch? I noticed you leaving."

"Ah I," I scratched my head. "I need to go and hand some papers in."

"Okay, will you be around campus though?" He asked.

"I will, why?"

"Nothing. If you ever need company, i'm around too."

I bowed and turned around to leave. I looked back and saw him still standing where he was, looking at me. He cupped his hands around his mouth. "I'll show you my other friends next time! You look really lonely!"

He was so blunt. I nodded my head once to show him I heard him.

At least now I know that there's another person here who can speak with me.
