I tripped on the last step while walking to my room. It felt like someone took a scooper and hollowed me out. I couldn't feel anything.
A month later, I was still depressed. I laid down on my bed, skipping school today. I woke up late today anyways, why bother?
I pulled out her letter that I've read multiple times, having scenarios in my head, thinking what should I've done to prevent her from going away.
My phone rang and I sat up.
"Ayo Taehyung!" Jimin shouted.
"What." I breathed.
"You should get yourself out of that shell and join the rest of the hyungs and I at Jungkookie's place. You up?"
"I have homework."
"Retard, I know you weren't at school. Don't lie. Just come. You need to lighten up your mood."
"Fine. What time?"
"Now."
I sighed. "A little late of a note, don't you think?"
"Shut up. And bring some fried chicken and cola."
"As always."
I waited for them to open the door for me. "Hey, Tae." Jimin greeted me. His eyes looked at me in concern. "W-What's up? Are you still..."
I pushed him aside and went into the kitchen to place down the chicken. He came up to me and placed a hand on my shoulder. "Tae, are you not over it?"
"Easy for you to say." I scoffed. "And yes, I'm not over it."
I sat slumped on the floor as I just listened to my friends have their conversation, they seemed happy. Namjoon spoke up.
"Taehyung, why aren't you eating? What's the matter?"
I had a sudden grudge against him. I ignored him.
"Yah, Taehyung, it's rude to ignore your hyung." Namjoon said.
I glared at him. "What's wrong? What's wrong?! How can you just act like nothing happened? Why didn't you tell me that she was going to leave? Instead, I came home to a letter!"
Everyone was silent, some were oblivious to this. Namjoon didn't say anything. "She wanted to do it herself."
"She was all I cared for! At least I could've seen her one last time! We didn't even split apart on god terms! We separated on bad terms!"
"That's your fault, Taehyung!" Namjoon yelled.
I stood up. I opened my mouth. "M-My fault?" I huffed.
"Of course! Don't deny it! You could've been the one to apologize since you started it! And now look, you're in denial, getting mad at me while you should just be getting mad at yourself."
I couldn't stand it anymore. I stormed out.
"Hyung---" Jungkook called.
Jimin got up, "I'll go calm him down."
"Leave him. You'll add fuel to the fire." Suga said.
I sat on the grass at the park where Sangchil and I hung out before. Exactly where the ducks were. I stroked the grass. "Why did you leave?"
I ripped some of it. "Aish! For fuck's sake! I'm so selfish!" I punched the ground.
Namjoon is right, it was my fault. I should've made up with her while I had the chance. How come I didn't see it when that Jin person came? Jin came back for her.
Will she come back for me?
Why is this turning out like a loophole? It's like I'm her when Jin left her. She left me...
I wasn't going to let that happen.
"...Now."
My eyes popped open. I looked to my right where Namjoon was shaking me. "You were having a bad dream while sleeping."
I groaned and rubbed my eyes. "Really?"
"Yeah."
I shrugged and leaned back to sleep again. But Namjoon sighed.
"Yah! Taehyung, wake up. Don't sleep!"
"Ah, why? I'm tired..."
"We're here."
I opened the window and I saw Melbourne.
