Sangchil had her hair swept back behind her ear. "Hellllooo." Hanbin greeted."Ugh, you freak." She snickered. "I'm glad you came here on time. I congratulate you, Mr. Kim."
"Why thank you." He chuckled. "Hey look. It's a new person."
Her eyes diverted over to the front of the room. There stood Taehyung with a smile on his face. Sangchil's colour drained from her face. "Isn't that the guy in the photo—"
She cupped her hand over to his mouth. "Shhh."
"Hello, I'm Taehyung Kim." He said in his Korean-English accent. Taehyung searched for Sangchil in the room. His eyes widened to see that she was looking back at him too. But then he narrowed his eyes to the person sitting next to her.
"He... Seems friendly, glaring at me with those fierce eyes." Hanbin chuckled with sarcasm.
Sangchil groaned. "Please don't take it that way."
Taehyung walked up to where Sangchil was. "Kwan!" He waved. "Sangchil, who's this?"
"I'm Kim Hanbin. Nice to meet you, Taehyung." Hanbin smiled over to him.
Taehyung thinly smiled back. "You can speak Korean?"
"Dude, I AM Korean!" He stuck out his hand, wanting to shake it. "Where are you from?"
"Daegu, but moved to Seoul. That's how I know Kwan."
"Kwan?" Hanbin looked over to Sangchil. "Why does he call you by your last name?"
"Cause he just does." She shrugged.
Sangchil sucked in an awkward breath sitting between them. She tried to ignore Taehyung during the lecture, but he kept nudging her.
"Will you stop?" She hissed.
"What? I need to tell you something."
"Tell me later." Sangchil snapped.
After the session ended, she stormed out with Hanbin trailing after her. "Sangchil, what's wrong?" He asked.
She put her hand to her forehead and groaned. "He's gotten so annoying! What the fuc—Frick I mean."
Hanbin laughed. "Just swear, who cares?"
"It's just that I haven't been this mad in a long time."
"Ooh, she's gone crazy!" Hanbin yelled. "Just let it go, Sangchil. Here he comes."
She looked to where Hanbin nodded off to. "Damn it."
"You chat with your boy-of-a-friend while I go off and play ball with Bobby."
"Aw c'mon, don't leave." Sangchil whined.
"Ciao, Kwan." Hanbin chuckled.
Sangchil looked behind her and Taehyung was there. "Hey." He smiled.
She couldn't help but smile back. "Hey." But she then hit his shoulder. "You stupid! Stop bugging my lessons! Why are you even doing here, I thought you were studying back at Seoul!"
"I transferred over here."
"But—"
"I have enough—Saved enough to pay for a dorm. For three years i've saved like a madman and worked at a cafe." Taehyung said.
"What about your family?" Sangchil asked. "Are you still living in the same house?"
"Well they are. Some new person lives in your house. Your parents moved to who knows where. Kwan, i'm an adult now, they expect me to move out anyways."
"Taehyung..."
"My goal here is to finish my degree and get a good career. And then hopefully you and I could be something."
Sangchil blushed. "S-Something?"
"Yeah." He pinched her cheek. "Sangchil, be my girlfriend."
Sangchil's mouth was twitching with all of the swear words she could find.
