Chase limped toward the border, his legs burning with effort. "Almost... there." he muttered to himself.
I groaned in response, trying not to pass out.
"You're heavier than you look Broox." Chase groaned, continuing to limp forward.
Destiny rolled her eyes and tried not to laugh, continuing forward without a complaint.
Chase groaned again and looked up, only to spot an oak tree standing tall on a hill. He gave one final push and crossed the border, collapsing on the ground as soon as he was across.
Destiny sat the girl down and turned around, crossing her arms. "Come on.... Get up you weakling."
Chase growled, spitting in her direction. He forced himself back onto his feet, grinding his teeth together.
The girl regained consciousness and groaned.
I tried to get up and keep my eyes open, but was struggling with both of those.
I started thinking about my dad, would he be worried? 'Bet he wouldn't even care, or notice for that matter.' I suddenly didn't feel so tired, I got to my feet with ease and looked around.
Chase groaned again, blood running down his face and soaking his clothes. "We need to get to the infirmary." he ground out, wiping the blood off his mouth with his sleeve.
The girl regained her wits and looked around. "Where are we?" she groaned.
I turned to Chase and Destiny "I'd like to know the same thing..."
"Camp Half-Blood of course." he said as if it was the dumbest question he had ever heard.
The girl growled. "Somebody kill me now." she whinned.
"Oh shut up!" Chase growled, shooting a glare in her direction. "I thought Romans were supposed to be tough. Guess not." he said, challenge in his voice.
Destiny rolled her eyes and stared down the girl. "Shut your mouth, you weak little Roman."
The girl stood up. "Excuse me!" she put her hands on her hips.
"You're excused." Destiny gave the girl a wicked smile.
Chase chuckled, grinning at the girl. "Some Roman indeed." He turned his back to her, continuing to walk.
I followed Chase, not really knowing what to do, Destiny took the lead and continued forward, triumph written on her face.
I glanced back at the girl a few times, she looked like a little kid who just got her toy taken away.
"I demand to see your camp director." the girl called after Chase.
"You're in our territory now. You shouldn't be the one making demands." he growled over his shoulder.
"Who is the camp director?" I asked Chase.
"Chiron." he said, not even bothering to turn around. "I'll take you to him." Chase glanced around before entering the camp. Some of the campers gaped at him while others barely acknowledged their existence.
The girl just followed Chase and Destiny in silence, still looking like a big baby.
Chase eventually came upon a large house and halted in front of it. "Welcome to The Big House." he said, splaying his arms. "This is where important meetings are held. You can usually find Chiron hanging around here."
A man in a wheelchair came out of The Big House, he welcomed us with a friendly smile.
"Hello Chiron." Chase said, stopping and standing between me and Chiron.
