Interview

We all dressed in our nicest outfits. "Good luck everyone" I said smiling as we walked in Mr.Landon's Office in his Mansion. "Hello ladies. take a seat" Mr.Landon said pointing at the seats in front of his desk. We all sat down and got comfortable Mr.Landon got out a notebook and a pen. "Names and ages?"

"Maureen Tigrett , 19" Maureen said while shifting in her seat.

I looked around "Oh, Eleanor Charlotte 19" I said with a bit of blush.

"Jane Asher, 18"

"Pattie Boyd, 17" Pattie said blushing.

Mr.Landon looked at all of us. "Lovely, Education?"

"We are all graduating this year Sir" I said. He nodded and wrote down our information. "i'm guessing this is a temporary for you all?"

"Yes" Maureen said while Pattie nodded. He wrote that down too. "Alright your all hired"

We smiled. "How much sir?" Pattie said without hesitating.

"4 dollars an hour, You all start tomorrow. Everyday 4-7" He said standing up shaking our hands. We shook his hand and he handed us our uniforms. We left his Mansion in excitement.

"I'll see you girls tomorrow at work?" I said smiling. "See ya then ladies!" Jane said waving us off. I walked home and told my mom about my new job with my friends. "Congrats dear!" She said and hugged me.

"We are making 4 dollars each an hour mom! isn't that great! That's like 100 a week." I said smiling"That's great hun." she said hugging me and went to the kitchen to cook dinner. I ran to the phone to call John.

"Hello?" Mimi answered.

"Hi Mimi! its Penny, is John there?" I asked excitedly. "He just left with Paul an hour ago, when he gets home i'll tell him you called?" She said nicely. "That would be great. Thank you" I said and slumped back into the sofa.

"No problem dear." She said then ended the call. I walked to my room and laid on my bed thinking about my job tomorrow. I closed my eyes and took a nap.

"Penny"

I felt someone nudge me.

I turned around.

"D-Dad?" I said tearing up.

He smiled and nodded.

"Oh dad! I missed you so much" I hugged him tightly and I felt tears stream down my face.

"Don't cry baby." He said wiping my tears off my face.

"I missed you so much dad!" I said sniffling.

"I missed you too baby girl" He said stroking my hair.

I woke up to my mom nudging me.

"Hun, John is on the phone for you." my mom said. I got up and wiped a tears off my face.

"Hello?" I mumbled.

"Hi love! I just finished practicing at Pauls" he said and plopped onto his bed.

"Me and my friends got the job!" I said forgetting about my dream.

'Nice! where?" He asked whole playing with the buttons on his shirt

"As maids, we make 4 dollars an hour" I said while propping my feet up on the couch.

"When ye birds coming to see us?" He said giggling.

"You'll see, It wont be long Johnny" I said knowing my plan.

Me and John talked on the phone for another hour until Darren got home.

"I'll call you tomorrow John" I said nervously.

"Oh god, its Darren isn't it?" He started laughing.

"Oh hush, i'll call you tomorrow love" I said mocking his accent.

"Ta" He said and I put the phone on the hook and went up to my room and put on a Buddy Holly album and got ready for bed.
