"How was school?" Darren said to me while sitting on the couch reading his newspaper. "Fine" I mumbled and dialed Johns number. After a few rings Mimi answered.
"Hello?" she said and rubbed her eyes
"Hi Mimi, its Penny. Is John there?" I asked quietly making sure Darren won't hear me.
"Yeah, just a second dear." she said nicely. Thank goodness.Mimi likes me.
"JOHN!!! PENNY IS ON THE PHONE" Mimi yelled away from the phone and it made me giggle. John answered the phone. "Hia penn"
"Hello" I smiled.
"Any blokes hit on ye?" he said sounding serious.
"Uhm. I punched one and broke his nose and got kicked off the bus for a week..." I said laughing.
"That's my girl" He said while laughing. Me and John talked for another hour and he told me about him wanting to end it with Cynthia his girlfriend, and us seeing each other.
"Hey love, I'm going to get off and start practicing my guitar." He said.
"Alright i'll miss you" I said jokingly.
It was silent for a few moments.
"And John?" I whispered
"Yes?" his voice trailed off away fro th phone
"It wont be long until I see you again" I said softly.
