Paris' superhero duo meet Superman & Wonder Woman

Chapter 3: Superhero Meeting

After about 10 minutes of rest and feeding their kwamis, Marinette and Adrien transformed into their superhero alter egos, and made their way to the school they were talking about. While Superman & Wonder Woman were waiting for the local superheroes to appear, they gazed out at the sights before them. They could see all the landmarks from the Eiffel Tower to the Notre Dame Cathedral.

"Whatever Luthor is planning, we can't let him get away with it," said Superman.

"Don't worry, Kal-El, we won't," Wonder Woman said reassuring him.

Both heroes halted their conversation by the distinctive whining sound of a yo-yo launching out & wrapping around something.

"It only took you 10 minutes to recharge. Impressive." Superman complimented, "Not many heroes recharge that quickly after using their powers."

"Our Miraculouses don't require a particular power source," said Cat Noir.

"So, you both wanted to tell us something?" Ladybug asked.

Wonder Woman nodded, turning to them both as she and Superman began to talk.

"Yes. We're not here to meet you both, exactly. We're here for another reason, & it's something that we couldn't leave be," Superman said as he pulled out a small rectangular object. Clicking a button on the side, however, the object increased in size, and opened to a certain file that they planned to show Ladybug & Cat Noir. The bug and black cat watched in stunned silence as it finished its transformation.

"We came here to keep an eye on this man. His name is Lex Luthor. He's a business man who deals with engineering robots and other sorts of technology that are supposed to help people," Superman explained to them.

"We've heard about him. While he uses some of his power to help people. In truth though, he uses larger amounts of money and resources to find ways to destroy you, Superman, and the Justice League," said Ladybug.

"Pretty much, yes. Not all of our battles with this man have been completely easy. There have been times when we underestimated him," Wonder Woman explained.

"Wait, doesn't he usually do his dealing with you guys in Metropolis?" Cat Noir questioned.

"Yes, but we've received Intel that he's here in Paris on a business trip. But, we think there's another reason he's here. We're sorry that we've brought all of this on you two. Luthor is our responsibility, and his madness and threats shouldn't be brought here," said Superman.

Ladybug and Cat Noir looked at each other as if wondering what the other was thinking. One of Superman's worst enemies was actually here. In France! And possibly waiting to make his move! They already had their hands full with Hawkmoth causing trouble; they didn't need another villain causing chaos! With any luck, the 4 superheroes could keep an eye on Luthor to make sure he didn't make a move on France. But then another terrifying thought came to Ladybug's mind.

"Oh no...what if..." she gasped, "Superman, what if Hawkmoth managed to akumatize Luthor?!" she shrieked.

"Wonder Woman and I had the same thought...," said Superman.

Superman took what looked like a miniature recording device that he held out in front of Ladybug and Cat Noir.

"The Justice League has been concerned about this supposed Hawkmoth for a while & we need to know everything you two can tell us about him." Wonder Woman explained, "We need to record your explanations so we can send it off to some of our allies." Superman added, as he motioned the recorder, "So, what do you know about Hawkmoth and what are the effect of his akumas?"

Ladybug and Cat Noir thought that it was only fair they return the favor in giving info to the Justice League regarding Hawkmoth & the akumas, seeing as how Superman and Wonder Woman helped them out with Shock Wire

(Ladybug spoke first) "Well, first of all, we have no idea where Hawkmoth is in Paris, but he definitely is located in Paris. Whenever we have spare time, we try to look for clues to where his lair is, like interviewing former akuma victims & see if they saw what direction the akuma came from. But sadly, we couldn't find much..."

"I see... how exactly do the akumas work, thought?" Superman asked.

"The akumas target those who have a sudden wave of negative emotions, like if you've gotten angry, upset, or hurt about something, Hawkmoth will sense it and send out an akuma. The akumas are actually butterflies, but he fills them with negative magic to spread onto the victim," she explained.

"Yeah, and as you saw tonight, it can totally transform its victim into a stronger person, giving them magic powers or enhanced strength and flexibility," Cat added on.

"Cat Noir & I have these charms called Miraculouses and they come with their guardians, or hosts if you want to put it like that. They're called kwamis, little creatures that represent the animals we're dressed as. My kwami, Tikki, looks like a ladybug," Ladybug further went on.

"And my kwami looks like a cat. His name's Plagg," Cat added on.

Superman nodded in response to this, getting pleased with the given information.

"Do you have any idea what Hawkmoth looks like or what his motives are, exactly?" Superman added.

"He seems to crave world power for the he wants mine and Cat Noir's Miraculouses." Ladybug answered, "As for what he looks like...we're not sure. There was a time when a bunch of akumas came together to form an image of his face, but that's not much to go on. We really have no idea."

"Unfortunate...thanks for information. You two have been very helpful," said Wonder Woman.

"I'll send the information to Batman and the other Justice League members to see if they can narrow down the search by what you've told us," Superman said as he switched off the device and put it away.

"Great! Once we find him, we'll take his Miraculous from him,so he won't cause any more trouble for Paris," said an enthusiastic Cat Noir.

"No more akumas from him when that happens," Ladybug said brightly.

"While we're here though, we need to make sure none of us get akumatized. There have been when I turned against my allies in the past, & I need to make sure that doesn't happen again," said Superman.

"You don't have to worry, Superman. We'll help you & Wonder Woman stay positive," Ladybug said in a positive tone.

(Wonder Woman chuckles a little) "You both remind us of the Flash and Batman's partner, Robin. They both are always full of energy, and have positive impacts on those around them," said Wonder Woman.

"Aw, thanks," said Cat Noir.

"I'm thinking that we should call it a night. Both of our families will be wondering where we are if we don't return home soon," said Ladybug.

"Good point, M'Lady. Maybe we all should meet here again tomorrow." Cat offered, "I mean, you guys are here to keep an eye on Luthor, this is our city, & you did help us with Shock Wire today. It's only fair we return the favor."

"Fair point. If you both happen to notice anything regarding Luthor, then contact us," said Superman.

"Alright, we'll keep our eyes peeled," Ladybug said.

With that, Wonder Woman & Superman flew off into the sky. Ladybug and Cat Noir exchanged goodbyes before heading back to their homes, and changing back.

Upon returning to their hotel rooms, Superman & Wonder Woman changed into their civilian identities, and sent the information they gathered to the Justice League.
