Paris' superhero duo meet Superman & Wonder Woman

Chapter 4: School the next day

Marinette managed to get her homework completed, and get up early enough to get ready for school for once. After having breakfast, and saying goodbyes to her parents, she made her way to school to find Alya and Nino waiting by the steps.

"Wow. For once Marinette, you were actually a little early. Who would've thought that was possible?" said Alya.

(Marinette gives a sarcastic laugh) "Very funny, Alya."

Just then, Adrien's car pulled up and he came out. As he began to walk, Chloe came up and gave him the usual hug and kiss on the cheek.

"Oh, Adrikins, you and I simply must go on vacation together some day. Just imagine it. You and I, on the beach on a private island in the Caribbean," said Chloe.

"I'll keep that in mind. See you in class, Chloe," Adrien said in his usual polite tone before walking to talk to Nino & his friends.

"So, have you guys heard about what happened yesterday?!?!" Alya said in an enthusiastic tone.

The others looked at each other, before expressing an "I don't know" look at Alya.

"Seriously?!?!" (Alya pulled out her phone to show the gang the big news) "When, Ladybug & Cat Noir were fighting Shock Wire, two of the greatest Justice League members came in and helped them. I was secretly following Ladybug when I saw Shock Wire post the video at the Eiffel Tower, and I personally recorded the entire fight before the press got a hold of it!"

(Alya shows the gang the video of the fight, and everyone was shocked with excitement of this)

"NO WAY!!!! Superman AND Wonder Woman are in Paris & they helped Ladybug and Cat Noir?!?!" Nino said both shocked and enthusiastic.

(Alya nods in excitement) "After I got the video, I uploaded it to the blog, and it went VIRAL."

"It REALLY Cool, Alya. Great work of recording the fight, and not getting in the way," Marinette said congratulating her friend.

"Thanks, girl. I'm still mad at that Lila girl for lying to me about Ladybug. Some of my followers even wrote comments about how I was idiotic for believing her," Alya said in a happy and angry tone.

"It's alright, Alya. Lila pretty much fooled all of us," Adrien said.

Before class had started, the 4 friends could hear all the conversations and gossip about how Superman & Wonder Woman are in Paris, and had helped Ladybug & Cat Noir. After Lila walked into class, everyone started to look away from her after they found out that she lied to them about who she is.

When lunch came around, Marinette went to find Lila to talk. But, she was stopped by a man wearing glasses and a grey suit.

"Hello, young lady. I'm Clark Kent, and I work for the Daily Planet. I was hoping if I could with um...Miss Alya about Superman being here," Clark said.

"Oh, um...sure thing. Follow me," Marinette said.

"Thank you."

"Alya, this is Clark Kent. He works for the Daily Planet back in Metropolis. He wanted to ask you some questions about Superman," Marinette explained to her friend.

"Sure thing, Mr. Kent," Alya said.

After the interview, Mr. Kent left and took a cab to a street close to hotel room. He received a call from Diana Prince (Wonder Woman's civilian alter ego).

Back at school, Marinette went to the girls' bathroom, and went into a stall. It wasn't long before her kwami, Tikki, came out.

"Is something wrong, Tikki?" Marinette asks concerned.

"I know you probably won't like this, Marinette, but I think we need to go back to Adrien's house, mainly his father's office," Tikki said.

"Why? Is there something wrong?" Marinette asks confused.

"The last time we were there when we were protecting Mr. Agreste from Simon Says, I sensed the presence of something very important in there somewhere. I know you probably won't like us looking around Adrien's father's office," Tikki said.

(deeply sighs) "I don't really like that idea, but...if it's important, then we'll do it. But, we should do it when Mr. Agreste, Adrien, and anyone else in his house is asleep so they won't know we're there," Marinette said.

"Good idea," Tikki said.

(time skip) Late at night

Marinette's bedroom

"Well, Tikki, let's do this. TIKKI SPOTS ON!!" Marinette said.

Transformation sequence

Adrien's house (Gabriel's office)

Ladybug detransforms back into Marinette, and she and Tikki begin searching around Mr. Agreste's office quietly until...

"Marinette, over here," Tikki said

"It's a painting of Adrien's mom," Marinette said.

(Tikki looks to the side of the painting)

"I think there's something behind this," Tikki said.

Marinette moves the side of the painting aside, and finds a safe. Because they didn't know the combination, Tikki phased through the safe, and opened it. Once Marinette opens the safe door, she sees various things from a book of Tibet, a picture of Adrien's mother, a peacock brooch or hair pin, and a strange book.

"Marinette catch!" Tikki said throwing the strange book to Marinette.

As Marinette and Tikki looked through the book, they saw images of different Miraculous wielders before the current ones.

"This is what we're looking for, Marinette. We have to take this book with us. It's really important and dangerous in the wrong hands," Tikki said.

"OK, OK, Tikki, but be quiet. We can't wake anyone up. TIKKI, SPOTS ON!!" Marinette said quietly.

After transforming in Ladybug and grabbing the book, she carefully placed everything in Gabriel's office to make it look like nothing was touched or changed, and then she left the Agreste mansion.

(time skip)

Marinette's bedroom

"What's so special about this book?" Marinette asks.

"It contains all the secrets of the miraculous powers. It's sacred and extremely dangerous in the wrong hands. Marinette, after school, we need to return this book to him. He knows how to decipher the codes," Tikki said.

"Please, who is he?" Marinette said.

"The Great Guardian. And I think the time has come for you to finally meet him," Tikki said.

Realizing that it was important, Marinette chose to leave it be, and placed the book in her backpack before heading back to bed.
