After spending the weekend healing her arm from the battle, Marinette was getting ready for school. Her bruise was starting to die down and heal, but she knew Alya and her friends would be asking what happened to her.

"Hey, girl. Whoa, Marinette, what happened to your arm?" Alya asked.

"Remember when Silver Banshee, Luthor, & Shock Wire attacked the gala? I was, uh, helping some people get to safety when a blast of electricity got me," Marinette said.

"Marinette, it's great that you're trying to help others, but you have to be more careful," Alya said.

"I could say the same for you, Miss. Ladyblogger. You keep putting yourself in danger to record Ladybug and Cat Noir's battles, even if we keep telling you to be careful," Marinette said.

"Touché," Alya said as they went to class.

Everyone asked Marinette what happened, and she said the same thing. While Marinette was getting her stuff ready for class, Alya chose to interview Chloe for her blog.

(Adrien enters and sits in his usual spot) "Whoa. Hey, Nino, what happened to Marinette's arm?"

"She was helping some people get to safety back at the gala during the fight, but some electricity injured her," Nino explained.

"That bruise looks just like the one Ladybug got during the battle Saturday," Adrien thought to himself during class.

during lunch period

"Alya, do you know where Lila is?" Marinette asks.

"I heard that she chose to stay at home, because she didn't want to face the shame and bullying she knew Chloe and some of the other students would give her," Alya said.

"I see. By the way, sorry you actually didn't get to see the fight between the heroes and villains yesterday. If you want, I can tell you what I managed to find out from an old friend," Marinette said smiling.

"WAIT?!? You know what happened?!?!?!" Alya said a little loudly.

"I don't know all of the details, but I do know some things," Marinette said.

"Can you tell me for my blog?" Alya said pulling out her phone.

"Not a problem. What are friends for?" Marinette said.

"Wait  up! Is it all right if Adrien and I heard your story?? We want to know what this friend of yours told you," Nino said.

"Sure," Marinette said as Alya put her phone on recording.

"OK, so here's what happened...." Marinette started off.

By the time Marinette finished telling the story, lunch had ended, and they all went back to class.

The library

Adrien was in the library until it was time to go to fencing class when he saw Marinette doing homework. Before he knew it, he saw her pull out a strange book that he never saw. Curiosity got to him, and he went up to see what Marinette had.

"Hey, Marinette. What are you reading?" Adrien says.

"I was reading my homework for history class. Why do you ask?" Marinette said.

"I was actually talking about that book you have behind your back," Adrien said.

"Wha- Wha- What book? I don't have a book," Marinette said nervously.

"I saw you take it out, Marinette. You might as well not try and hide it," Adrien said.

(Marinette sighs in defeat and shows the book)

After spending a few minutes with Marinette and talking about the book and the different Miraculouses, Adrien had to leave for fencing practice.

time skip. Adrien's bedroom

(Plagg flies up to Adrien) "Something wrong, Adrien?"

"Just still thinking about Marinette's bruise. It was in the same place and way Ladybug's was when she was injured," Adrien said.

"I do find it odd, but almost anything can happen when it comes to Hawkmoth's akumatized villains. She could've actually been hurt back at the gala, or she could've lied to cover up the truth," Plagg said eating his cheese.

"But why would Marinette lie about being injured?" Adrien asked as he viewed the interviews and videos from the Ladyblog website.

"That's interesting," Plagg said.

"What is??" Adrien asks.

"That Marinette's interview about the fight sounded like he actually was there when it happened; like she actually went through it instead of just hearing about it. It's also interesting how she actually looks and acts a little bit like Ladybug when she smiles, laughs, and stands up to Chloe," Plagg said as he looked at the videos too.

"I guess you're kind of right, Plagg. It's all kind of interesting, but there's no possible way that Marinette could be Ladybug. Sure she's brave, but she's not the type to pick a fight with an akumatized villain. She's too nice," Adrien said.

"Although, being Ladybug would explain all of those absences and tardies she gets when it comes to school," Plagg said finishing up his cheese.

"Maybe," Adrien whispers to himself.

After helping her parents out with the bakery, Marinette headed out with Tikki and took the Miraculous book to this "Great Guardian" Tikki talked out.

(a few minutes later)

Master Fu's shop

(Marinette knocks on the door and enters the room)

"Hello, Ladybug," Master Fu said.

Once Marinette shows Master Fu the book, they spent the next few minutes talking about the codes and about anything that could help her and Cat Noir find and stop Hawkmoth.
