Taehyung is a very trustworthy person, but I just couldn't bring myself to accept his offer right away. However, I did accept him taking Yoon over to his place. He insisted on teaching her how to take care of Joonie. So here I sat, contemplating my options.
I do love Taehyung. But it's always been more of a close bond, or brotherly love. With Namjoon, it's different. Even through all of this I see him as my soul mate. The one to always catch me when I fall. I know he truly does care for Yoon and I, I get the sense that he wants to finally uphold responsibility and take care of us. His only family.
If I accept Taehyung's offer, he'll think I want more than friendship. Right now, at the moment, the only person I see being my lover is Namjoon. And I curse myself for that. Here I have a caring, funny, trustworthy person offering to rid of my problems but yet I choose the one who betrayed me and left me weak.
A heavy sigh rolled past my lips as I stood up and grabbed my car keys. I hesitated at the alarm system but I craved to see Namjoon again.
So with one last glance I walked out of my house, doors unlocked and alarm system off.
I unlocked my car door and slid inside, hoping my trip to the grocery store will numb my emotions. Within a few minutes I was parked and ready to go inside. When I turned around from locking my doors I bumped into someone.
"Pardon, sir! I'm so sorry, I was bein-" I chuckled and helped him up.
"You're fine." I frowned after seeing his eyes filled with worry, it was as if I was looking straight at a predators prey that managed to run away.
I looked to the side and saw a small boy and something inside my head clicked. I was well aware of when there was a certain issue at hand, after all I had to deal with Namjoon's business for most of my life.
"Get in."
I quickly unlocked the car doors, the man sat in back, buckling the young boy into Yoon's carseat as he frantically told me to hurry. As I pulled out I could see a black SUV coming towards me. I knew I had to shake it off so I sped out onto the street.
"Alright, make sure you're buckled. Things are going to get rough."
The man in back nodded and buckled himself next to the younger.
What is going on?
I swerved and curved around different streets, managing to lose the SUV that barely caught up. I knew it was too risky to leave the man and child alone at their place so I pulled into mine.
"As soon as we get inside, you're explaining everything."
The man nodded as we headed inside my home.
"Thank you. Thank you so much...." He trailed off wanting me to fill in with my name.
"Seokjin, but call me Jin. And your names are?"
"I'm Jungkook and this is my little brother, Jimin."
I knelt down and smiled at the younger one, Jimin. He looked to be Yoon's age.
"How old are you, Jungkook?"
He bit his lip before saying "18 years old, sir."
I sighed and led him towards the kitchen, making tea and grabbing some fruit snacks.
"What exactly were you running from?"
Jimin happily took the fruitsnacks and Jungkook fiddled with his fingers.
"My father, he told me to run away with Jimin."
Just then the said boy yawned, I smiled at the sight and told Jungkook the boy could sleep in my daughters room. Jungkook seemed to relax knowing I had a daughter, maybe making him feel like I wasn't a creepy stranger.
Jimin was in Yoon's room while Jungkook and I made our way back to the kitchen.
"As you were saying?"
"I knew my other father was in a dangerous business but-"
"Other father?" Jungkook nodded.
"My parents are both men, they adopted Jimin and I."
"What are their names?"
"Yoongi and Hoseok."
The names seemed familiar but I couldn't pin point exactly how I knew them.
"Yoongi works in the business, correct?"
Jungkook looked at me surprised.
"H-how'd you know?"
I could tell he was on high alert but I only sighed, preparing to tell how I knew of the so-called business. Until a familiar voice beat me.
"Your parents will be fine. Just stay on the down low for a while."
Jungkook tilted his head at the intruder.
"Who are you?"
A chuckle was heard and I closed my eyes. Not ready to see him, or pick an option.
"My name is Taehyung."
Just then multiple pairs of feet came running down the stairs, giggles being heard.
"Don't worry, Jungkook. We'll take care of you both. That's my daughter Yoon, by the way."
I stood up and excused Tae and I.
"You said you could protect Yoon and I, correct?" I whispered. Taehyung nodded already seeing where I was headed.
"Just watch over Jungkook and Jimin. Please. You can offer them more protection. I just don't wan-"
Taehyung slammed his lips against mine, ready to go deeper but I pulled away.
"Is this your way of declining?"
A figure walked up beside me and smirked.
"Yes, it is. You should've already known he'd pick me. It will always be me."
My heart sunk, because of how foolish I'm being. I know I'll regret this. He would appear at this time. That was just my luck. Taehyung stormed out and called for Jungkook and Jimin to follow.
What have I done?
"Daddy? Is that you?"
Namjoon smiled with a light laugh.
"Yes, honey. Daddy's back. For good."
Damnit, Seokjin. You were supposed to run.
