Madyln's POV
"Sorry but we aren't a hiring, come back soon though."
"Well let you know."
"We just aren't looking for anyone right now."
I have heard that so many times in the past 6 months of my expedition for a job and still couldn't find one, I've been trying for six months before Dallas was even put in jail, I would say the same thing "thank you for your time," or "Thanks, I hope to hear from you." Then I'd nod and go to the next place.
That's what I was doing again today, job hunting.
"Next place." I whisper to myself checking the address of the farmers market, I saw the "we're hiring" sign and couldn't help but smile. As soon as I walked in the man at the desk smiled at me His name tag said he was Jared.
"Hi, how can I help you?" He asks his big blue eyes almost shining to compliment his black hair.
"I saw your sign out front." I reply.
"Oh, yeah we already hired we just haven't taken the sign down, sorry."
Of course, "Thank you." I smile but as soon as I turn my smile is gone and replaced with an angry frown. I've been to five today so I was done for now. I went straight from there to visit Dal."I don't know what to do!" I groan frustrated.
"Babe, use the wedding fund." Dallas orders.
"What?"
"You heard me I don't wanna see you on the streets. Please use it."
"But Dally-"
"Did you it hear me? Until you can find a job or I get outta here use the wedding fund." He repeats. Instead of arguing I just nod.
"Fine."
"Good." He smiles in victory.
"So have you heard anything else?"
"The lawyer says that it doesn't look good for me at all," He bites at his finger nails. I sigh heavily.
"Of course."
"Hey, it'd be a minor battery charge, it'll be okay doll." He comforts. I of hoping he was right.
"Just please, don't get stuck in here again when you get out, ever." I plead,
"I know, you've said it before," he groans running a hand through his bright blonde hair.
"I know, I just wanna make sure you know." You sigh again not wanting to tell him yet, I wanted to wait until after his hearing in a couple days.
"I promise I will." He repeats. I nod.
"Good."
"God, I miss you so much, Maddie."
"It's been a week only, probably months to follow." I say tears gathering in my eyes.
"Don't say that, we don't know what's gonna happen, we gotta be positive."
"Like you can promote positivity Dal." I chuckle. He smiles knowing i was right.
"I love you."
I nod. "I love you too Dal."
