Continuation of the last chapter...
"Stay with me for one more day," Lance says, looking at me straight in the eyes.
Caught off guard, I blink at him in curiosity. "W-what?"
He blinks at me, and his cheeks suddenly turn red. "I-I don't know what I just said."
I raise my eyebrows at him and smirk. I walk closer to him and smile mischievously. "Did Lance Spink just say 'stay with me' to a girl?"
Lance bites his lip and looks away nervously. "A-Alone...A-Adam's not going to come home until seven tomorrow... I'l be alone here so you need to entertain me."
I grin at his flushed face. I have now finally found one of his weaknesses- girls. "Hmm... what do I get for staying another day?"
"You get nothing. Remember the slave tickets? I'm going to use another one," Lance says and sticks out his tongue to me playfully.
"I can't wait until you use all of them." I sit on his bright blue chair. Out of the corner of my eye, I see a guitar perched on a stand. "Hey... how come I never saw you play instruments if you're in a so-called 'music club' or whatever you call it?"
Lance walks over to the guitar and brushes his hands against it as if it's so precious, and closes his eyes. Moments later, he opens them again and looks at the guitar sadly. "I don't feel comfortable playing in front of people... besides, you'll see me play at the competition," he says softly.
"So, what are we gonna do today?"
Lance just shrugs and flicks my "question" away with his fingers, grinning at my annoyed expression. "Relax. Enjoy the beautiful breeze. Enjoy the quietness," he says.
I stare at Lance at disbelief. "Hey, Pink! Wanna have a staring contest?
Lance mocks my way of speaking causing me to frown. "Why would I wanna stare at your ugly eyes?"
"Then why do you always want me near you, huh?!"
"T-That was--" Lance stutters and I continue talking anyway.
"Hey hey, so if I win at the staring contest, I don't have to stay here babysitting you. I'll be free as a bird!"
"Eh?! You sure about that? I'm pretty good at staring contests, you know?"
