Chapter 2: Riptide

 "Call me in just like a Riptide, drown me in with your sweet soul.."

“It is no longer a secret that the now-a-day society gives us less and less time for our own self-discovery, friends, and love life if you know what I mean guys that is why we decided to meet the needs of those teens who have understood that life is actually empty without love by engaging themselves in this kind of event in a warm, friendly and secure environment, with a lot of love floating in the air!  The first RoadRunner Romance event that held in Finders Keepers let's give around of applause to this event that comes of with a platform which is “7 in Heaven,” 

After that, the crowd goes haywire. Nagsigawan at nagpalakpakan sila. Hindi ko tuloy masyadong narinig yung sinabi ni Ate Noreen.

“Let me tell you something, Sam, who is my partner and boyfriend, and I have met some time ago thanks to a common friend that introduced us. When I saw him I just knew he was The One! Before that, we attended several events like this. We saw how others do it and learnt how to make it better. But what I think is more important is that we were very lucky to find each other. I wish this events become that “friend” that people need in order to find the potential partner they were looking for! So we consider ourselves to be a love spreading company!”

Ate Noreen and Kuya Sam held hands after they're speech. It's obvious that they actually owned this bar. Gusto pa yatang maging playing cupid nitong couple na'to. Tss.

Uhh. Guess, where am I? Yes! I’m already here at Finders Keepers to finally attend this freaking event. I just want this to get done and over with. Dapat kasi tatakas nalang ako pero knowing Lara and Sofia hindi ako titigilan niyan! -.- One thing I like about this one, I can somehow dress-up may pagkafashionista kasi ako, hindi naman over sa ayos pero yung simple lang pero ang lakas ng dating ganun ang style ko eh. I admit hindi naman ako sobrang ganda pero kahit papaano head-turner and eye-catching din naman ako yes, like Sofia and Lara.

“Uyyyy. Nakakainis ka naman Max eh! Hindi pa nga nagsstart yung twist ng event na’to may tumitingin na agad sa’yo! And wait.... OMG! Si Chance Villareal ba 'yun at ang members ng The Teenage Kings?!!” OA na sabi ni Lara.

Magkakatabi kasi kami dito sa couch and I heard pag nagstart na yung event magkakahiwalay na kami according sa number ng table na napunta sa’min. As of now, I think this party will be a blast ang daming tao eh! I even saw some famous artists! Woah. Sosyal. Mga rich kid talaga. Nadistract lang ako sa sinabi ni Lara.

The Teenage Kings?

“Ha? Pinagsasabi mo?” Of course, I heard her pinapaulit ko lang haha! Ganyan ang mga pahumble eh.

“Sus. Pacool pa kunwari. Ayun oh,” sabay nguso ni Sofia sa isang gilid na may nakaupong four handsome, hot and cool guys. Ack. Yes, I know them. The Teenage Kings. Of course, what do you expect? Nandito 'yang mga 'yan.

So I looked at him. Chance Villareal. Ha! Aura palang alam mo na agad eh. Typical playboy whose an expert at wooing a girl. Pleasure seeker. 

“Tch. Hayaan niyo siya! And girls huwag nga kayong masyadong tumitig sa mga lalaking 'yan iisipin niyang mga ‘yan na patay na patay kayo sa kanila. You know what will happen right?”

Play it cool.

Sermon ko sa kanilang dalawa na ikinatahimik naman nila pagdating kasi sa mga ganito alam na nilang gamay ko na ang mga ganyang lalaki. Been there done that. Not to mention that my first boyfriend is a player, too. Idagdag pa na mostly lalaki ang mga pinsan ko na mga ganyan din. 

“Yes. If you meet a guy and you’re really attached to the idea of him being your boyfriend, that neediness is something he’ll sense so in the end turn-off ‘yun,”  Lara said. Good thing tanda pa niya yung tip na iyon haha!
