I never thought I'd see the girl I fell in love with. Acting like this. Like she wanted to hurt Tohru...
Without the help of Akito.
**A few days later**
>>Hatoris POV<<
A few days passed since I last saw Kismae. I can't find the reason why she would look at Tohru with such hateful eyes. I need answers.
So that very afternoon I called Kismae. Her brother Ryogi was shocked when he answered. But agreed to give the phone to Kismae.
I heard the phone switch places and soon I heard the soft soprano of Kismae.
"Hello?"
"Kismae. I hope you'll accept an invitation to tea with me this afternoon."
I could hear her hesitating. Then she sighed and answered.
"Of course Hatori. I shall see you at 2 pm. Should I bring anything?"
"No need. I have everything. Well. Farewell. For now. I shall see you later."
"Goodbye Hatori."
The phone clicked off and I was left with silence.
The rest of the day I spent making tea and reading. And when the doorbell rang I was on my feet within seconds.
When I opened the door I saw Kismae again. Her long hair was loose and was falling in curls down her shoulders. She wore a pastel blue skirt with a fluffy cream coloured sweater. I remembered that Ritsu gave her that sweater a Christmas ages ago. He had fallen to the ground, yelling apologies for the sweaters lack of colour.
Now Kismae fiddled with the sweaters sleeve. I let her in with a greeting and closed the door.
Usually I would be worried for her safety. But since she knew Akito as well as she did, he wouldn't have a problem with her visiting the main house. Probably.
I could tell right away. She was nervous. So I made her sit at the table and brought out done tea and a few cookies. Apparently she brought some of her own as well to add to the plate. Some chocolate chip cookies.
We sat there drinking our tea in awkward silence. Until she cleared her throat.
"What did you want Ha'ri? I would guess this wasn't a normal, friendly invite."
Well, I didn't expect her NOT to pick up on that. Now the cat was out of the bag.
"I called you over here to ask about what happened a few days ago in Akitos room."
"Of course you did. But I assure you. This wasn't something I did to impress Akito or anything like that. It was my own decision. I just dislike Tohrus personality. Knowing what I saw while in there she's probably deserved what Akito did somehow. She can't help him. I'm not saying that I am the only one who can, but Akito doesn't want or need pity. Which is what she's giving him. He needs loyal, trustworthy friends. And a little more sun."
"I still don't understand. You are many things Kismae. But cruel is not one of them."
My voice was steady even though I was confused. But I think I understand what Kismae is saying. At least a little bit

A/N: Sup guys!!
That's one way to make a chapter. Gosh it's hard ... I seem to lose sight of where I was heading with this... Anyways. From this chapter, and some of the others, you might realise that I dislike Tohru. I'm trying not to bash her too hard tho. 😂Fruits Basket and all it's lovely plot and characters belong to the ever so awesome Natsuki Takaya. I only take credit for Kismae and Ryogi. And most of the plot in this story.
This is purely for entertainment purposes. I don't get money ftom this.
Well... That's all. Vote and comment if you think I deserve it.
Peace out!!
