There we all were. Facing eachother. I stood right in front of William with  Sky to my left and Riley to my right. We were batting our eyelashes and pretnding to be little angles.

"Please?" I asked quiet and sweetley, looking into his green eyes. Dad grunted, crossing his arms.

"You're suppose to be grounded, Olive." He glanced at Sky and then Riley "And how did you meet them again?"

Sky cleared his throat "We met at in LA, at the avenue. She was shopping the day before her Ken Show appereance. I was like talking about Stella Mccartney and so was Riley and..."

Dad narrowed his eyes at them "So you two were talking about shopping?"

"Yes!" Riley grinned "And were such huge fans of you Mr. Vie!"

I stamped on his foot "So... can we all go to dinner?"

"Yeah, I guess. But if you two were at that party I swear to God. Hmm, Olive. They seem kind of gay."

Sky opened his mouth to defend his sexuality, I stamped on his foot. We followed dad into his car and piled up in the backseat. Riley lay on top of Sky and I and Dad looked into his rear view mirror, shaking his head.

We drove to a restaurant outside of the Hills with a beautiful view of the city. It was and Italian restaurant , it reminded me that I craved New York pizza. Honestly a lot of food here was shit.

As soon as William walked over to the host, the host went red and suddenly had a table for four in the nicest part of the joint. Fame benefits, I guess. Immediately Riley was acting inappropriate, he began to touch all the bread in the basket and blow into our ears. I gave dad a sad look, apologizing for Riley. The host brought menus and I looked at Riley.

"Don't fuck this up." I whispered. Sky chuckled and ordered a sparkling water.

"So." Dad bellowed "Where do you go to school Cloudy and what's-his-face." He didn't even look up from his menu.

"It's Sky." He said with gritted teeth "And we both go to Donton's"

"Good school, close by." He nodded "If Olive stayed here I would send her there."

"Oh..." I muttered "Well I'm fine at Saint Helen's."

Dad mentioned to the waiter "I don't want to pressure you into anything, love."

Sky snickered and Riley sunk into his chair, chewing a roll.

After the waiter took out orders Riley started to rant about his parents. In front of my father.

"They are so stupid!" He yelled aloud "I mean they don't take my art seriously. Bunch of bald heads."

I gritted my teeth, and used all of my will power not to throw my fork at his eye. I've known Riley for one day and he's gotten me into unbelievable trouble. He always act inappropriate.

"You're an artist?" dad mused, a steaming platter was placed in front of him. Sky started to shovel down his ravioli and I picked at my lasagna.

"Well, yeah. I mean I paint and I make comics." Riley started to eat noodles with his hands.

William smiled, tracing the edge of his wine glass. Eyes flashing. He was very amused by Riley. "So, what kind of comics?"

"I make one's about a guy who like is a total pimp. You know what I'm talking about, Vie." He smiled " Anyway he is a drug lord and on his way back home from Columbia he's shot down. He has to steal a Ferrari and drive through the border from Mexico to America."

As Riley and dad rambled on Sky looked at me. A stupid little smile.

"So, Riley sure is something?" He leaned over the table and talked quietly.

I shrugged "He's alright. I'm used to having bad seeds as friends. I was friends with a punk girl and her drug dealer boyfriend. It got pretty crazy."

Sky laughed "I used to know a girl who would sell coke in exchange for Starbuck's gift cards. Turns out she stole it from her dad!"

I laughed "Really?"

"Yeah, not so bad ass anymore." Sky pushed his food aside.

"Well if it makes you feel any better the drugdealer's mom picked out his clothes."

Sky and I nearly spit our water.

"Guys! Seriously? I've been explaining my webcomic Pimp on the Run and you haven't been listening? Well William Vie likes it! William Vie!"

Sky and I shot back into our chairs and smiled, Dad clinked his fork into an empty plate.

"I like it so much, I might even invest in it." He sipped his wine and chuckled.

Riley looked up at him with hopeful eyes "really?"

"No." said Dad. We all laughed and slapped Riley's back.

The dinner was done. Dad waited for the check and Riley went off to the bathroom. I needed to get away from the mood light restaurant and stumbled to the rear end parking lot for some air. I leaned up against a sign and looked out into the moon. You couldn't even see a moon. The smog covered it. That's what I get for coming to the most polluted city. Like New York wasn't polluted enough.

A figure came towards me in the dark. Of course it was Sky. He stood next to me.

"Hey."

"Hi." I muttered. Sky slipped a pack of cigarettes out his back pocket and light one up.

"Mind if I smoke?" he asked. I shook my head and plucked the cigarettes from between his lips.

"You'll die young and painfully. Don't do it." I threw the cigarette onto the floor.

Sky sighed "Live fast, sweeties. Enjoy life. I won't mind dying young."

"You know you will." Silence. Sky stared at me in the dark.

"Come into the light." He said. I stood there dazed, and confused.

He smiled, taking me by the shoulder and herding me into the light. The fluorescent light nearly blinded me.

"What? What are you doing?" I asked, Sky looked right at me. Vacant expression.

"I want to see your face." Was all he said. He just stared at me. Lingering.

The others called out for us and Dad unlocked the car, Sky and I ran towards it, Riley calling shoot gun. The night was young and perfect. This was life. This was everything I needed right now. I didn't dare even think of back home. Frankly, I was scared to.
