Sorry for the long wait! This chapter is a little flashback that mostly focuses on Kat and Jack. I wrote a chapter but it was so bad I deleted it. So here you go.
Kat's P.O.V
It was seven on a Monday morning and here I was hiding in Jack's bathroom. I could hear his mother making breakfast, I could hear Jack's Gun's and Roses cassette playing from the other room. Jack opened the door a bit and looked at me, shaking his head.
"You've really fucked up this time." He said casually. Turning on the sink and fetching his toothbrush.
"Oh shut up." I said in a whispered "I told you to wake me up at six."
Jack stripped his shirt off and smirked "I'm not responsible for this."
Jack with his fucking shirt off. God. It wasn't like I had never seen it before. We had dated once before. But relationships aren't are strong point. I'm attracted to him, though. Very attracted. If you want the truth I am in love with him. And the worst part was he knows and loves to tease me about it. I swear to God that's the only reason he's shirtless right now.
His mother called him for breakfast and Jack promptly spit, turned off the cassette and went to eat breakfast. I got up and cracked my neck. I stared into the mirror. My makeup and hair was a mess. I needed to redye my roots pink already because the bland brown was already showing.
"I don't think he'll mind." I said to myself. Opening up Jack's chest of drawers and selecting one of his polos. I put it on and left my old tank top on his floor. Jack swung the door open to his room and I sat cross legged on his bed.
"Hi." I slurred, falling back onto his pillow and grinning. Jack inhaled sharply and jumped onto the bed, falling next to me. He turned around to face me, his face so close to mine. My heart was beating so fast it hurt. Should I do it, kiss him? I started to lean, closing my eyes. Instead a sharp smack of a pillow greeted my face.
"You fucking cunt!" I snarled, tackling him with a pillow.
"Jack, was that you?" His mother called out, I darted under the bed.
"Yes, sorry." Jack sighed. He attempted to kick me.
"Watch your mouth, I'm going to work now. Bye." She called. Jack said by as well and as soon as the door closed I came out from under the bed. Jack pulled me close to him. He looked down at me.
"I'm worried for you." He said very quietly. If you knew something about Jack he usually didn't care much for other people. He looked like a mama's boy but he was a self-proclaimed satanist and sold weed to pretty much the whole school. He cared mostly about me and his small group of friends; Nirva, Adam and Olive. But I think Jack and I had the strongest connection out of all of them.
"No, I'm not going home. Martha's a bitch. I'm going to be moved to another home soon. I don't care."
He held me tighter. "Kat. Please."
I sighed and got up "Can we go to school?"
---
The train ride from Jack's apartment to the school was short. We went to a school in Brooklyn unlike Adam and Olive who prospered at a private school in Manhattan. Brooklyn public school was a lot tougher. But we all managed to get bye. Nirva didn't go to our school because he was a lot younger then us. We don't really know where he went.
I sat on the seat and looked out the window into the dark tunnel. The train wasn't crowded today. Suddenly two freshmen came over to us.
"Hi, are you Jack?" they asked quietly.
