chapter 8 (shot down)

Hiccups POV

" hey toothless lets go, get up ,come on we are going on our morning flight, don't make me come in there!" I yell from my room

"gimmie a minute" I hear him say 

"okay i am going to count to three and you better be out here 1...2...3" I yell n

"okay, okay, I'm here calm you dragon, you just disturbed my good dream like seriously who does that come on!"he says 

"hey toothless, guess what, I do!!!!! this is payback from when you used to wake me up in the middle of the night to go flying, at least I am giving you the benefit of waiting till morning huh?"

"fine lets go" hey says 

" yeah baby!!!! come on toothless you can go faster than that"I yell into the wind 

" are you sure you want me to go fast"he yells 

"oh come on toothless I think i can handle it " I say 

"OH MY GODS!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I yell 

---------------------------------------------- 1 hour later -------------------------------

I am laying on the back of toothless unaware that we were in berks sights then all i hear is 

"NIGHT FURY SHOOT IT DOWN!!!!"

and a bola wraps around us before I can do anything to stop it and I scream as we go down straight in the centre of the plaza.

Astrids POV

I suddenly hear one of the villagers yell out night fury shoot it down and me and the gang immediately go to our positions and I count down 

"3...2...1 SHOOT" i yell 

and the bola wraps around the dragon but we didn't just hear a roar of the dragon we heard the scream of a man.

We all run into the plaza and there lays before us the offspring of lightning and death its self.

soon enough everyone is standing in the plaza waiting for the cheifs orders. but when we get close enough to see the night fury we can see that it has something concealed in its wings and out of the night fury's wings steps a man.

he is very lean and tall, he has a metal leg and wears armour made out of the night fury's scales, but we cannot see his face though because it is covered by a mask that only shows his eyes, oh my gods those eyes a peircing emerald green, they looked so much like hiccups, no astrid focus its not the time to think about hiccup.

what the heck the man growls at the dragon like he is speaking to it, then the man comes forward and says " what do you want"

then through the crowd walks Stoick and stands looking straight down at the man and says 

" i want the night fury, now move"

"never the man says you'll have to go through me first" he spat

and everyone including me and the gang just laughed 

" oh that will be so easy, you know what i will make it easy for you, you won't have to fight me you can fight the teens, astrid everyone come out here and fight this little embarrassment" he said to us

he would be so easy to beat like seriously he was like a stick, but those eyes i couldn't stop looking at them.

hiccups POV

I could feel the anger building up inside of me 

" seriously little embarrassment, after all these years, i am still referred to as the little embarrassment!!"  I growl 

" hiccup keep your cool you can't get angry okay calm down we don't know what you'll do okay.so just calm down"  toothless says 

I take a deep breath in and come back to my senses. 

the teens then step out of the crowd, they have changed, but i guess i have as well i mean it has been five years, Fishlegs has gotten bigger and probably smarter because he looks like he's trying not to show that he's scared, and to be honest he is doing it very well, Snotlout is behind me waiting to do a sneak attack but i can tell that hes still the same arrogant little brat that used to beat me up, but not anymore, the twins havn't changed much apart from Tuffnut now has dread locks and Ruffnut looks a bit more girly i guess. 

but then there's my long time crush Astrid now I can't even bare to look at her she didn't ever do anything to stop Snotlout when he beat me up, shes gotten taller and she has changed he clothes to a red top and a fur hood and matching armbands.

"Come on guys lets show this guy how it's done" I hear Astrid say.

then they all get in there positions and It didn't take long to notice that the twins were going to do their famous headbutt, so at the very last minute I stepped out of the way and they bashed heads and were both knocked unconscious, then thanks to my enhanced senses I heard Snotlot running towards me ready to hit me with his mace, just before he can hit me I step to the side grab his mace, trip him over so hes laying on his back on the ground and throw the mace just above his head and he slowly backed away, i could hear gasps from the crowd but I ignored them.

then it didn't really take much to scare Fishlegs all I did was say boo and he ran away back into the crowd.

next was Astrid, she ran at me full speed and I side stepped grabbed her axe between my two fingers and through it across the ground then when she tried to throw a punch at me I grabbed he hand and twisted he around and pressed a pressure point on her neck and she was immediately paralyzed.

"by the looks of things I have defeated you best fighters and without weapons imagine what I could do with weapons" I spat

then I felt two strong hands wrap around my neck and I knew it was gobber, I couldn't hurt gobber so I just let him be,but then i saw my dad go over to toothless," die devil" he roared, but before he could kill toothless I screamed out.

" NOOOO DAD STOP!!!!!!!" 

then every one looked at me and i wriggled out of gobbers arms, but stopped dead in my tracks when i realized that i didn't have my mask on.

And there I was plain as day standing in the middle of the crowd,unmasked.

"Hiccup!?"I hear my dad gasp

and everyone is looking at me, even the teens.
