the Vamps

Tristan's POV

I stand outside waiting for the newborn vampires. Once they are all outside we walk deeper into the woods where Astrid is waiting for us. "We are ready." I say as we get closer.

"Okay. Where do you want to take them this time?" Astrid asks.

"Well we could split up. Some can go with you and the rest will go with me." I say.

"Okay, then you take the North side. We'll take the South." Astrid nods.

We hear two newborns start getting impatient as they start arguing. Astrid runs over to them as they start fighting.

"Damn it. You need to stop!" Astrid yells getting in between them holding them back. "If you try this again. I swear we will not go hunting and your thirst will only get worse."

They both nod silently. They knew she was serious. "Now let's go find Zuri." She says looking at me. We all start following her toward the Dark Point Mountains. We get to Zuri and Astrid talks to her. Zuri usually helped us with a spell to lure animals to help train the newborns faster. They were really impatient. Astrid walks back toward us.

"Okay. Half of you come with me and the rest go with Tristan." She says as we split up.

I lead my group away. "Okay so all you have to do is target your victim." I explain. "After you have it in sight you have t-"

"Yea. Yea. Whatever we know." Steven, one of the newborn vampires ,that was fighting earlier, says as he ignores me.

"Well if you want to do it right without loosing control you have to listen to me." I say angrily.

"Whatever. I think we got this." Sam, the other one that was fighting, rolls his eyes. "Let's go." He says as they both run off with blood lust in their eyes.

"Damn it!" I yell. "We should go find Astrid." I tell the rest of the group.

I ran over to Astrid. "What happened?" She yells.

"Steven and Sam got away. They were ignoring everything I was saying and ran off to hunt on there own." I hurriedly explain.

"Well go run after them you idiot." She yells at me angrily.

I start running toward them. As I run, I start hearing someone yelling. I walk closer and notice Faith yelling at Steven and Sam. Two of her wolves behind her. I walk up to them and she turns around looking at me. She rolls her eyes. "I'm sorry for them, they are in training. And sorry about crossing the wolf territory." I try to apologize.

"Shut up! I don't want to talk to you, I want to talk to your sister. Just take me to her." Faith says angrily.

I nod silently. I grab Steven and Sam by their shirts and let them go, indicating them to follow me. We all walk back to Astrid. Faith walks over to her and talks to her while we hang back waiting. "Are we going hunting yet?" One of the newborns asks.

"Yea. Hold on." I say trying to listen in on their conversation.

Faith finishes the conversation and looks over at me. "If any other vampire crosses over to our territory again, I will not hold back." She says loudly for all of us to hear. She then turns around and walks away.

Astrid's POV

I wait in the middle of the woods as Tristan gathers the newborns.

"We are ready." Tristan says as he gets closer, the newborns behind him.

"Okay. Where do you want to take them this time?" I ask.

"Well we could split up. Some can go with you and the rest will go with me." Tristan suggests.

"Okay, then you take the North side. We'll take the South." I nod.

We hear two newborns start getting impatient as they start arguing. I run over to them as they start fighting.

"Damn it. You need to stop!" I yell getting in between them holding them back. "If you try this again. I swear we will not go hunting and your thirst will only get worse."

They both nod silently not wanting to wait anymore to hunt. "Now let's go find Zuri." I say looking at Tristan. I lead the way toward the Dark Point Mountains to where Zuri is waiting for us. I walk over to her as everyone stays behind.

"Hey, Zuri."

"Hey, Astrid. Are you ready for that spell?" Zuri asks.

"Yea. We have everyone here." I say. She nods as she closes her eyes and starts saying the spell. After a few minutes, she opens her eyes.

"It's done. You won't  have any problem hunting now." She smiles.

"Thanks." I say as I walk toward the group. "Okay. Half of you come with me and the rest go with Tristan." I say as we split up.

I lead my group away as Tristan leads his group in the opposite direction. "Okay. Now you all know the basics. I want to see you hunt as a team." I say. I trusted my group and knew very well they could do this on their own. I just had to supervise that they didn't get too carried away and want to start hunting humans.

I hear someone running toward us. It was Tristan. I knew this wasn't going to be good. "What happened?" I yell.

"Steven and Sam got away. They were ignoring everything I was saying and ran off to hunt on there own." He hurriedly explains.

"Well go run after them you idiot." I yell at him angrily. He runs back throughout the woods to find them. Tristan was a great leader of the clan, but he usually tried to avoid confrontation which made him seem weak. Tristan was not weak though he was always just afraid to loose his temper and end up killing someone.

A few minutes later, Tristan returns with Steven and Sam. Faith walks close behind with two other wolves in tow. Oh no. She walks over to me. "Your idiot vampires crossed to our territory. We had an agreement. Don't let it happen again." She says angrily.

"I'm sorry they are new. They didn't know." I explain.

"Well they are old enough to know they should not be messing with the wolves." She looks over at Tristan and her next words come out loud enough for everyone to hear. "If any other vampire crosses over to our territory again, I will not hold back." She then turns around and walks away.
