the Wolves: Jake's POV

Seth and I roam around the Dark Point mountains talking about things that we need to do. "I think that would be a great idea." I say as Seth suggests new activities and training for the pack. We really needed to work more on team work.

"What's that?" Seth says at the same time as I notice the smell too. We look at each other knowingly as we start running toward the smell. We notice it's four wolves from the Laila Peak Pack. "What are you doing here?" I yell at Danny as Seth argues with the other three wolves.

"Quiet!" Danny says giving his wolves a look. I look over at Seth and he nods, quieting down.

"So what's your business on Dark Point?" I ask.

"We were told by a witch that a wolf named Faith could help us out." Danny explains.

Seth and I both tense up a little at the mention of Faith's name. "You should have no business with Faith." Seth says. "You should leave."

"What exactly do you need from Faith?" I ask a bit concerned. I wasn't about to let them take her to a dangerous place.

Danny starts explaining and I realize it was not my Faith he was talking about. I feel myself start breathing normally again. "That's not our Faith. The one your looking for is the one part of the Oak Ridge Pack. You need to turn back that way to the Oak Ridge mountains." Seth explains, pointing behind them.

"Yea. Just take this trail back and it's about 10 miles from here." I explain.

"Don't ever come back here again." Seth threatens as they turn around. We start walking back to the community. "I don't like that Laila Peak Pack." Seth rolls his eyes.

"Why do we even hate them?" I ask thinking for a good reason. I can't think of anything.

"Well, because.. Umm... Why do we hate them?" Seth says thoughtfully. "Because they are an enemy pack." He nods convincingly. "So why do think they need Faith for?"

"Well I'm not sure, but I'm glad it wasn't our Faith." I say casually.

"What if it had been our Faith? Would you have finally kick her out of the pack?" Seth says. "I mean it's not like we need her anymore. We can do this on our own. She's just holding us back Jake! We need to think about what's good for the pack and I think kicking her out is the best option."

I listen to his every word. Waiting until he has finished talking. "Seth! I told you we aren't going to kick her out." I say irritated. He has been wanting to kick Faith out of the pack ever since we broke up. I couldn't do that to her. She was a a great asset to our pack and I still loved her, but I would never say it. Not even Seth knew and he was my best friend. We get home and notice Michael and Dan running toward us smiling and laughing.

"Jake! Seth! You missed it!" Michael says excitedly.

"Yea. You should've seen how Faith handled the vampires earlier." Dan explains.

"She was so cool. She even brought us with her too!" Michael adds.

Seth and I laugh at how excited they are. They run over to some other wolves to talk about their adventure. I turn to face Seth. "See that is why we have Faith and need to keep her as long as possible." I say.

Seth nods, but I can see that he won't stop trying to get rid of Faith.
