Astrid had needed my help today for a spell to lure in animals for the newborns. I was always glad to help. Especially if it meant keeping a few vampires well fed. Faith had come over after a few vampires went rampant. She seemed pretty mad at them for going on the wolves' land, but I didn't think nothing of it. I walk back from the north side of the mountains. I hear someone move behind a tree and a branch crack. I smile and roll my eyes. "Thomas?!" I call out to him. He appears behind the tree. He walks toward me and I punch his arm playfully. "Don't be spying on me."

"I had some questions. I was waiting for you." Thomas says, rubbing his arm.

"Ask away." I smile, but inside I was rolling my eyes. I liked answering questions for him, but sometimes it got too overwhelming. Being the leader of a coven meant I had to know many things, but sometimes I didn't want to know.

"Why are you even helping the vampires? Aren't they like our enemies?" He asks confused.

"Not all vampires are bad. And I thought you said you weren't spying." I say. I've known Astrid and Tristan for a long time now they were good. They weren't as bad as some vampires I've met in the past. "Besides, I only help them to lure in animals to make their training easier for the newborns. If they waited for animals to show up they'd get really hungry and start hunting anything and everything."

"Are we enemies with wolves?" He asks suddenly.

"Wolves?" I say thoughtfully, thinking back to the incident with Faith. "No."

"Why do you think the wolves need a witch?" He asks.

"What do you mean?" I ask.

"Yes. Faith sought out the help of Agetha." Thomas explains.

Why would Faith need Agetha's help? Was Astrid just using me for spells to lure in animals or was there something else? Were the vampires getting prepared for a battle and just using me? I wondered.

Thomas looked at me thinking everything through. "I have a plan." He says as we get back to our coven. He gathers everyone in the meeting room.

"We might have a problem." I start. "The vampires and the wolves are seeking the witches' help. The wolves have sought out Agetha's help." There's murmuring throughout the room. "And as many of you know already, the vampires are all seeking help from me."

Everyone starts shouting questions at me all at once. I try to keep a straight face as I try to listen to everyone's questions. Thomas steps up in front of me and shuts everyone up. "I know that you all have questions, but we need to come up with a plan. We need to find out what is going on, we need to find out why the vampires and the wolves are all looking for the witches' help." Everyone looks at him confused.

"Thomas is right." I step in. "I need Thomas and you two to go talk to Faith." I say pointing at two random witches in front of me. "Try to find out what her alliance with Agetha is. I will go talk to the vampires."

Thomas nods as he leads the way to the Dark Point mountains. I gesture for two warlocks to follow me as I walk to the north back to the Engima Lust clan. "We need to go talk to Astrid." I explain as we keep walking. I don't know if I really want to know why Astrid was using me, but I had to do this as the leader of our coven.
