Chapter 12

The organ song starts playing a song that doesn't sound like a death march. I get all of my nerves out by singing. I snap back to reality and link arms with my dad.

The door opens and I start to flow down the aisle. I spot Ed at the alter. All dressed up. Probably the only time I'll see him dressed up like that. I quickly realise that I'm at the alter.

The ceremony begins to get a bit boring, but Ed's bright eyes keep me awake. Now comes the vows.

"I Ed, will love you forever." Ed says pulling out a paper with his vows. "I won't ever leave your side. You're my other half. I'm nothing without you. You are the best thing that's ever been mine" Ed references to my song. He always have to slip in a joke.

Now it's my turn.

"I Taylor, will be by your side together. I've loved you from the very first day we met. You played the guitar backstage at an award show. We exchanged numbers to write songs. Now it's turned in to this. You know it's true, I love you." I say, returning the song reference.

We exchange rings.

"You may now kiss the bride." The priest says. We both lean in. Our lips meet, and we're now married.

The reception has started. It's in a barn. I know, it's not full out glam. I wanted it to reflect my childhood. On a farm. Well, a christmas tree farm. Ed loved the idea too. He doesn't like things that are really fancy.

We walk in, hand in hand, and head to our first dance. The song is Enchanted. It was supposed to be I Love You by Ed. But I see he changed it. He's always doing something.

We cut the cake, and dance some more. Next comes the surprise for Ed. Everybody quiets down, and watches. I hand him a box wrapped in white paper, with a bow. He rips off the wrapping paper, and opens the box. Pink and blue hellium balloons float out. Everybody is speechless.

"You're-" Ed stammers.

"Yes!" I exclaim.
