People talk about how they could never imagine cutting their hair. Whether to a short length or to go bold. Mostly girls.
When a person has their hair not cut for a very long time and they have experienced many memories with that hair. They associate their wellbeing and emotions with their style of haircut. Example: if someone who has had long beautiful hair and has had a happy life suddenly cuts their hair they think that they have changed and without that hair they will not be them and happy. People cut their hair because them miss the person they were when they didn't have much hair or they want to change. They want a change of pace and feel they look bland, they want to forget whatever bad memories they had with their long hair, or they were dared or something. Hair is what you live with and it is apart of your appearance but unlike clothes you change, you are stuck with what you have. Imagine the same way as cutting or growing you precious hair to a way you don't like, you lose a limb, you will associate memories with the limb as well you think "I wish this never happened i want to go back and be the person I was" well guess what assholes you have not changed a bit! You may be a bit more aware of things or you may have a harder life and heck this might be the first time that your have experienced depression which must bloody suck and you could blame everything on that bad thing that happened but dudes. You are you. You haven't been replaced. Inside you are you. Depression makes you lose yourself often and you think like your an empty shell who has a hollow replacement there until you find yourself again. And you get frustrated and scared that you have died out there of thirst because you have been lost for such a long time. You want to stay away from others that don't understand what is happening inside you. Because it's not them that lost them but it's you who lost you. That's why it is different for everyone.
