15 minutes have passed now. I've watched two people get eaten, and two others were torn to pieces. As for me, I've found a temporary hiding space. Somehow, it always manages to find me, like its main goal is to get me. Every time it finds me, it seems to forget about anyone else in the vicinity.

It's not long before the wall beside me shatters and the beast appears. It swipes at me and I duck, squealing as a large claw lands just above my head.

I run out of the bathroom and down the hallway. It roars and speeds after me. I scream when I see how close it is and speed up. I peak into one of the windows of the up coming classrooms. Ryu's face is pressed against the glass, and once he sees me, he tries to open the door.

Another beast appears in front of me and I know at that moment, that I'm screwed. Both of them charge and I do the only thing I can do: brace myself for the worst. I squeeze my eyes shut and cover my head with my arms, waiting to be ripped in half by these two things. Only, it doesn't come. When I open my eyes, I'm in a totally different venue, looking up at Michael.

"It's ok," he says. "You're safe for the time being." It's only then that I notice that I'm shaking. I take deep breaths to calm myself. Once I'm not shaking, he pulls away and looks at me. "It seems as if their primary target is you."

"What? Is that even possible," I question him.

"No. It's not. Which is why I'm worried. They've never been this way. Not even with me," he explains. I hear a crash not too far from us; Michael swears and pulls out a weapon. "This is as much as I can do to help without getting in trouble. I don't have much time left before the guards notice my absence. Please try to stay safe."

"Wait," I call, but he's already gone. I look at the weapon he left me with, and I gasp. It's a katana. I unsheathe the sword to see the blade is a beautiful black. "The least you could have done was given me a gun. I don't even know how to use this thing!"

As if it's timed, the wall in front of me crumbles and the two gargantuan beasts are staring at me, drool dripping from their fangs. I don't have time to think because the one closest to me charges. It swipes at me and I duck, blindly swinging the sword as I do. Not too long after, I hear a thud and the beast roars in pain. I look to my right to see an arm laying in the ground.

"Oh my god," I say, feeling a sense of triumph. But it's only short-lived when the other one lunges at me, letting out a roar of anger. It knocks the sword out my hand and it goes flying across the room. It charges again. I squeeze my eyes shut, preparing myself for the pain that's about to come. Except it doesn't. Instead the sound of locks ring through the school once again.

"To those of you who survived without a scratch, congrats. But to those of you who sustain injury...well, all I can tell you is that I'm sorry you have to go through with punishment. Those of you unscathed can return back to class," the voice booms over the speaker. "The injured will be collected by the nurse."

Great, I think. I survived but now I'm lost. I sigh and start heading through the hall.
