Redemption

Fierce Reality

Previously on Redemption
Regret that things turned out the way they did.
Regret that he didn't show his son support.
And regret that this entire battle ended with his sons final breath.

Davenports POV

" Don't you dear talk to my father that way!" Adam snapped, his eyes gazing into Thomas's.

" Why not. It's true. Had you guys given him support of any kind, he wouldn't have felt the need to prove himself. " He Sasha muttered back. Her head still remained directed at the floor, refusing to make eye contact with us.

I could tell Adam was about to strike back with a comment, but I quickly cut him off.
" Adam don't. He.... He is right" I stutter my voice cracking at the words.

" I put him down. I threatened to take him of the team and I only pushed him to the limit. I pushed him to the breaking point." I choke out

" Uhhhh Donny you better check this out!" Douglas said settling himself next to Chase.
I spin myself around to see Chase's body shaking and his skin turning even more pale.
I quickly race to his side kneeling down next to Chase.

"Mr Davenport what's happening?" Brew asked completely lost in the panic of her voice.
"He has a pulse but his pulse is weakening. We are losing him!" I reply tracing my finger along his pulse line.

Everyone's eyes widened in fear at what was happening causing a dispute to erupt among the students.
"WE HAVE TO DO SOMETHING!" Leo exclaims urgently.

I pull myself up to my feet, pulling Douglas to my side.
" WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO? ALL THE EQUIPMENT HAS BEEN DAMAGED AND HIS ENTIRE BIONIC INFRASTRUCTURE HAS BEEN DESTROYED." Douglas snaps urgently.

We glare across the room, Adam Bree and Leo attempting to keep the students calm. However you couldn't mistake the explosion of fear penetrating through their eyes.
Chase was still shaking and I could tell he was getting weaker and weaker.
He wouldn't last much longer.

" It's too late. As soon as the energy from the bionic fuse reaches his chip it will explode and he will be gone. Forever" Thomas bit back.
Time was running out and every second we wasted talking was another second Chase was balancing between life and death.

I saw Thomas and Sasha seal their eyes shut in pleasure, pleases at our struggling. They knew how to cure Chase but they were keeping it to themselves.
" How do we cure Chase?" Bree asked, trying to prevent the tears from spewing out of her eyes.

" I don't know. Adam quickly pick Chase up we have to race him to the hospital." I exclaim urgently
" What are they going to do for us there?" Douglas questioned
I shake my head ensuring the students gathered together in the one room.
" Douglas we have to try. They might be able to stabilise him for now. Stay here with the students while I take Adam Bree and Leo to the hospital. Bree, Leo arrest Sasha and Thomas they are coming with us." I order, just as the both of them gripped around their arms securely.

Chase was slumped over Adams shoulder, while Leo and Bree walked towards the remaining pieces of the hydroloop. It was still in a reasonable state that would enable it to get us to the main land.

We step within the hydro loop, huddling together in the corner before the dented metal door seal shut, darkness falling over the tube and a deafening silence consuming the space. I catch a slight glimpse of  Douglas smiling weakly before the hydro loop sped towards the main land.

" Here is how this is going to go. You WILL tell us how to cure Chase as soon as we get to the main land." I snap, gritting my teeth while my eyes narrowed down to the two deceitful psychopaths.
" Nice try Davenport, but you can't pin this one on us. You won't get a peek from us." Thomas bit back, a voice cold and bitter.

" Ohhh trust me. I. Will" I strike back fiercely.
I rested my hand Chase's neck feeling the slight vibration of his pulse.
Seconds after, a piercing silence is soon broken by the opening up of the hydro loop.
We all rush out of the hydro loop, as Sasha and Thomas grunt in pain as they are dragged out by Leo and Bree.
We all grip onto Bree's arm before our surroundings suddenly transforms to a white room crowded by several nurses rushing towards us.

Chase was immediately placed on a hospital bed, before being rolled away by several nurses.
We trail close behind being sure not to lose Chase from our sight, continuing to drag Thomas and Sasha along.
We soon arrive in a large room, Chase resting in the hospital bed while the nurses crowded around his lifeless body.

Several doctors directed us towards the lounging area.
Adam quickly informed the nurses as to what happened while we huddled together in the waiting area.
Just as the door sealed shut behind I instantly pin Thomas against the wall feeling my anger increase.

" Ok Thomas this is no longer a joke. Tell me how we cure Chase. I know you know so tell me now." I demand.
No sense of sympathy flushed over me, despite his pained expression.
I saw  the others jump in shock at my sudden out burst, but I couldn't contain the fury that was burning within me.

" An..And what if I don't? What will you do Mr Macho." He mocked teasingly. His breathing becoming very shaky as I apply more pressure to his arms.
I lock eyes with him, my face hardening with everything glare I exchanged with him ,before I finally release the grip around his arms forcing him to collapse to the ground.

I break down to my knees feeling the weight of the world crash on top of me. Crushing my strength to gain a proper stance. The others rush to my side just as a single tear escaped my eyes.
Sasha rushed to her father leaning down next to him, both of them whispering to each other.

" Mr Davenport it's ok. Chase will pull through!" Bree comforts resting her hand on my shoulder
" Unless he doesn't." Sasha comments

We all turn to her, Bree already clenching her fist.
" Don't you dare talk about my brother that way. HE WILL PULL THROUGH...."

" And the only way he will do that is if he defeats the voices in his head. You wanna know what wrong with Chase. Yes the bionic fuse has paralysed him, but he is trapped in a world outside of reality. A reality so fierce that his thoughts  are consumed with backstabbing words. The only way he can escape this world if he hears the words he has been wanting to hear this whole time.

Sasha hesitated before she drew a deep breath revealing the secret as to how to cure Chase.
" Tell him
I. Won't. Let. You Down"

Authors Note
Ok so now it is up to the Davenports to fix their mistakes, to save Chase.
Sorry for late update guys, school is getting chaotic and my brain is already about to explode.
