Chase POV

A world engulfed in an eternal darkness. No sense of time, no way out and no escape or revival. It's like I had shrunk to the tiniest of molecules and I was nothing but a single drop in the ocean, concealed in a world outside a joyful reality. My own frightening warnings that had overcome my emotions over the past week had become a new reality. A fearful reality.
Everything was dark and I pictured myself standing in the middle of this infinite doom. I was in a ghost form of some sort. Was this a coma? Or was this the end? No sense of time and having no sensation of feeling at all didn't help the situation.

Not even the feeling pain shattered my body, but a rather long sleep with no sensation of feeling at all.I longed to feel even a shiver of pain, just to convince myself that I was alive, and not lost in my own doubtful thoughts, inching towards death.

Words flashed across my head and consuming my thoughts.
" Your Pathetic"
" You Bionic Brat"
" If you did your job right, we could give you credit"
" It's all Chase's fault"

The voices echoed through my head, and the words were labelled in dark red bold letters. Making it hard for me not to see them.
Images of the bionic rebellion also flashed and flickered throughout my sight. The devious smiles, the treacherous battle, and the near escape. The same thing happened with the memories of the exoskeleton. The evil crooks, the deceitful lies and defeat of the enemy. But at what cost?
My own life?
I was fading away from the world. I was fading away from existence. Each thought or image made me feel weaker, as only the haunting thoughts hypnotised me.

I've been sitting here for ages, ripping out the pages.
How'd I get so faded?
How'd I get so faded?
No, no don't leave me lonely now, if you loved me how'd you never learn?
Colour Crimson in my eyes.

The only feeling I felt was a feeling of relief. Had I finally redeemed my title? The mission was complete, and the exoskeleton was destroyed, but so was I. I couldn't help but to feel empty on the inside. It's almost as if I had forgotten or missed something.

Everything was so confusing, it was like being trapped in a parallel universe.
My eyes flutter open revealing the dull lights of the room. I push myself up from the bed, only to stumble backwards at the sudden sight of my lifeless body.
This wasn't real. It couldn't be.
I was truly fading away from reality and existence.
I glance down at my hands. A pale colour and a faded shade consumed my full self.

I glance around the room. I was in the hospital. My body rested within the middle of the room and I could see the others in the opposing room, sulking at their feet. The doctor standing at the door had soon walked out.

I walk towards the glass partition, gazing through the glass. I was right in front of Mr Davenport who was starring beyond my shoulder, at my lifeless body. His eyes swelled in tears and his hands were shaking with fear. I waved my hand in front of his face, expecting a single gesture back.
Nothing.
He couldn't see me. Non of them could.
" M...Mr Davenport." I stutter. My voice barely escaping a whisper. I felt tears swell within my own eyes. Each tear falling onto my hand, but not leaving a wet stain of any kind. He reached into his pocket revealing the note I had left before this entire mishap happened. His hands shook even more and I could see he was cracking as the heavy tears escaped his eyes quicker.
