" I'm..... Right here sis.
Told you I'd come back soon"

Donald's POV
My eyes widened at the sight of my sons hazel eyes. It had been a while since I had seen them glow as bright as the sun, with the tinted colour of hazel in them. I continued to hold my breath considering whether or not I should pinch myself, just to make sure this wasn't a dream. Was he really alive?
Backing up away from everyone else I cornered myself in the back of the room with nothing to do but choke on my words.
" CHASE!" They all screamed in unison, piling on top of him. He exchanged a weak hug with them all while groaning in pain.
" G...guys..," He choked
" I can't breath"
They all quickly got off him just as Bree helped him gain an upright position.
His face looked pale and his breathing was unsteady. His hands were trembling uncontrollably and I could see the tears in his eyes getting stringer.
He was in pain.
He was hurting.
" I'll go get the doctor." Leo said rushing out the door.
For a long moment we spent our time staring into each other's faces in shock before Adam broke the silence.
" Ch... Chase. How are you here? How are you alive?" He breathed barely able to continue.
We all continued to stare at him, shaken in awe.
He seemed confused himself as he looked at his hands several times, almost as if he didn't believe he was alive himself.
" Chase?" Bree soothed
He glanced around the room, staring into the glass partition at his reflection. His eyes gleamed with uncertainty and his tears streamed down his face.
" I... I wanted to thank... Thank you guys. You saved my life." He muttered
We were all taken back by his comment and I failed to understand what he meant.
How could Chase ever think that we saved his life?
" Chase, what on earth are you talking about?" Bree whispered
He hesitated slightly, about to answer before the doctors barged into the room.
" Clear, Clear the space. Back away. Everyone in this room must get out!" The doctors ordered shoving us out roughly.
Adam seemed to resist the shoving as he pushed them back using all his strength.
" I need to talk to my brother." He growled, gritting his teeth
" Adam." Bree said
" No. I NEED TO TALK TO HIM!" He shouted
" No you need to leave," The doctor ordered
" Your brother will be fine but please leave us do our job. We can't have you guys getting in the way."
There was no doubt that the doctor was in complete and utter shock. He was convinced Chase was dead like the rest of us were, and now Chase was alive and breathing. Adam's tense arms relaxed slightly as he reluctantly left the room.
We stood behind the glass partition staring into the opposite room. Every second felt like an hour and the world was spinning around me, leaving lost in my own thoughts.

Chase POV

" What is today's date?" The doctor questioned
I stared at him, hesitant for a moment as I struggled to find the words. Pressing my eyes shut I began to trace through my memories that felt so distant.
" It's... It's the 13th" I answered
He nodded pleasingly, jotting things down onto his clip board.
" What is your name?"
" Chase." I responded promptly
His hands continued to race along the paper with the pen.
" Ok good. Now Chase I need you to follow the light."
He held a torch directing it in my eyes as I followed the path of its light. My head swayed from left to right in sync with the doctors hands, Suddenly the bright flash of light shattered my memory banks revealing the images of the battle.
I saw myself getting flung back by the powerful force of the exoskeleton. A surge of energy bursted through my veins as I shoved head into the depths of my shoulder, unable to continue to look into the light.
" Shhhh just breath Chase. Breath." The nurses soothed.
I found myself shaking more as the memories flooded my mind, every shaky breath became more shallow and every time I tried to speak fear strangled my words.
" I'm.. I'm ok." I breath
The doctor walked away, showing every sense of confusion as he continued to stare at me intently. The nurses continued to help me. Releasing the tension in my shoulders I  relaxed back into the bed, feeling my head sink into the pillow.
" You are very lucky to have survived Chase. We have done several check ups on you and you have no major damage done. No breaks no fractures not even the slightest traces of amnesia. Just a minor concussion and a few bumps and bruises. It's very surprising considering the great amount of electricity your body absorbed."
I only nodded in response.
" Well you would be happy to know that you should be ok. I'll let your family know." He stated happily opening the door for my family.
" Thank you doctors." Mr Davenport thanked
" You are very lucky Mr Davenport. You have a fighter for a son!" He murmured before leaving the room.
I hadn't heard Mr Davenport talk ever since I had woken up, he never even looked me in the eyes. It was almost like he was scared to get to close, like a force was holding him back.
" So, how are you guys? Are you all ok? You look kind of scared." I breathed feeling my arm.
I winced in pain at the burning sensation on my arm. Raising the top sleeve of my mission suit revealed a thick bandage bounded around my forearm. The blood dried through the dry material, as it covered the vicious scar that was once there.
" Chase, you make it sound like nothing happened to you. You nearly died. You nearly died because of us." Bree said.
Her eyes were stained blood red and swelled in tears that threatened to spill.
" Well, I'm walking. Breathing. Really guys I'm ok....I'm just fine." I commented pushing myself of the bed and walking towards them.
Mr Davenport stumbled backwards his face revealing traces of caution.
" Mr... Mr Davenport...I'm ok really," tears streaming down my face
" I'm all good. Just... Just look me in the eyes just once. You haven't spoken to me at all and you keep running away from me like I'm a ghost..."
Looking at me silently he broke out into loud sobs before engulfing me in a tight hug.
" Your here, your really here. I.... I love Chase.... I love you my son. Don't leave me, don't leave us. I'm sorry. Stay here my son..." He sobbed, his tears soaking my mission suit. His trembling arms wrapped around me before he starred at me in amazement.
" I love you too dad, I forgive you. I could never ask for a better mentor. I could never ask for a better father. I love you all. " I whispered
" Thanks for saving me. Thanks for never giving up."
Adam, Bree, and Leo all joined in the hug. For the first time in forever I felt safe. All this time I found myself lost in my doubtful thoughts when all I really needed was support, and I finally had it. All I needed was my family.
" We love you Chase," Mr Davenport said
" We won't ever let you go."
