Physical Appearance: Sandy has light blonde hair, that's kept in loose curls to her shoulders. She has soft china-blue, smiling eyes. Sandy is fairly pale, with rosy cheeks. She's average in height, standing at 5 foot 5. Her figure is slim, and she doesn't necessarily have big curves. Sandy is one of the few greaser girls that doesn't wear a ton of makeup. She prefers looking natural, despite the fact that none of the girls in her class go for that style.
Personality: Sandy is very kind, and gentle. Her voice is soft, however she's not shy and actually enjoys long, deep conversations. Sandy likes helping others, whether that may mean volunteering or simply cleaning around the house. She prefers to have something to keep her occupied, since it distracts her from all the shit going on. Sandy resents the fact that she's a greaser. She always wanted to get out of Tulsa and have a profession suitable for herself, but she didn't want to leave her loved ones behind (welp she ended up leaving anyway, didn't she). Sandy values the people in her life that she's close to, and that's what keeps her going.
Relationships: Sodapop was her second boyfriend, she had an unhealthy relationship with her first one, and was trying to move on. Soda noticed Sandy around school his sophomore year, and he thought she was beautiful. Finally, at one of the school dances (he went with Steve and Two Bit planning to cause trouble) he saw Sandy and decided to talk to her. They hit it off really well, and she gave him her number. Soda and Sandy had a great relationship, they were definitely one of the cutest couples. They rarely fought, and when they did it was always calmly settled. (Check out my book, "The Outsiders: A Little Bit of Everything." There, it talks about a theory on how Sandy got pregnant). After Sandy got pregnant, her dad threatened her, telling her never to be with Soda again. Even though she tried explaining it wasn't his, she listened to her father, out of fear on what he might do to her if he found out she was trying to keep contact with Soda.
Random Facts:
•she's 16
•Sandy absolutely loves sunflowers, and Soda would pick them for her all the time
•she wanted to be a veterinarian, but she dropped out of school when she moved to Florida to take care of the baby
•Sandy is great singer, with a beautiful voice (she used to sing for Soda, now she sings lullabies to her baby)
•she's a Beatles girl
•her dad is an abusive drunk (only saying this because it says she comes from a bad home in the book)
•Sandy's mom constantly tried to win her husband's love for her back, whether that may be dressing "sexily", flirting, anything to seek attention
•however, Sandy's mom is still very supportive and they had a close relationship::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
I feel like most people think Sandy is a sleazy, greedy, bitch but I still can't see that, even if she did get carry someone else's child. Just the way she's described makes her so sweet and gentle and I gotta believe that's how she truly is. I honestly feel for her a lot, coming from a bad home, getting pregnant, and then not having much (by being a greaser) and losing even more (her love, relationships, probably education too).Anyways, up next is my fav: Evie!!
