"Y/n look!" You ran the the window of your house. Your angel boyfriend, Gadreel, wrapped his arms around your waist as you gazed out the window. Your eyes widened as small flakes of snow battered against your window.
"Wow! Come on let's go outside!" You rushed to the door and grabbed your jacket.
"Wait Y/n ! Why don't we wait a little while until the snow gets a little thicker ok?" You huffed and hung your jacket back up. You sat on the couch and folded your arms like a small child. Gadreel chuckled quietly and sat down next to you and hugged you tightly, his head resting on top of yours.
"What's up? You can tell me.." You snuggled into the crook of his neck.
"All my life I've grown up in places where it hasn't snowed in the winter month. This is the first time I've seen snow in ten years Gadreel. Don't you know what that's like?" He pushed you back and clasped your face.
"Y/n I am billions of years old. I have seen all types of weather. Snow is one of them. I remember when I was no little that one hundred years old. My father took me down to the human world just once and let me played in the fresh snow. I remember the first feeling of the cold snow between my toes." The two of you sat there for an hour and talk and talked.
"Look outside now.." Gadreel pointed outside. The ground was now completely covered in a thick blanket of snow and there was not a patch of sky for miles, just snow clouds. You looked up at Gadreel with puppy dog eyes. He laughed at you.
"Ok now we can go outside. Just wrap up warm." You kissed him on the forehead and ran upstairs. You threw a pair of sweatpants over your leggings and stuff your feet into a pair of wellies before grabbing your scarf and jacket and running outside. The instant blast of snow was a wake up call. You stood in a single spot for a few minutes before feeling something hit your back. You turned to see Gadreel standing there with a snowball in his hand and a menacing grin on his face.
"Really? We are playing that game?" You bent down and grabbed a handful of snow before throwing it straight at him. It landed with a satisfying thud on top of his head. He stood momentarily with shock plastered on his face. You doubled over laughing. He ran towards you and tackled you to the ground. You gasped in shock as the cold snow ran down your neck and down your boots.
"This is so much fun!" He stood up and brushed the snow off of his shirt. He pulled it off and a bright light quickly blinded you. He stood there, wings flapping a flurry of snow around him.
"Don't Angels feel the cold?" He shook his head.
"In my true form we can feel everything. But when I'm in this body it's only a tingle. It feels like your equivalent of pins and needles. Also my wings haven't felt snow in so long."
The two of spent the rest of the day playing in the snow, throwing snowballs at each other and dancing in the snow. By the time you went inside you were soaking from head to skin. You ran upstairs before Gadreel could get to you. You stripped down and hopped into the shower and stood there until you felt completely warmed up. You came downstairs in a pair of warm sweat pants and a baggy tshirt and found Gadreel asleep on the couch. You smiled and sat down next to him. You grabbed the blanket behind you and wrapped it round the two of you and fell into a peaceful sleep, arms entwined as the snow continued to fall outside.
