This request is for HuffleofFlufflepuff who actually requested this a while ago but I'm super forgetful 😂 so finally here it is. A sick Gabriel getting ill so that Sam tries to take care of him but he gets to be too much and then dean has to take care of him. Some Sabriel feels mentioned

Since Gabriel was rescued from Asmodeus, he hadn't really been the same since. He would often be seen shuffling around the bunker with a blanket wrapped around his shoulders. Sam often found himself in Gabriel's rooms at night, soothing him from the nightmares he had.

"Hey dean have you seen Gabriel? He wasn't looking so good at breakfast..." Sam worrried about his angel that was nowhere to be found.

"He's probably still in his bed. God knows that he needs a rest." Dean looked back to his newspaper. Sam sighed as he turned on his heels and head towards Gabriel's room. He knocked softly on the door.

"Gabe? You awake?" He pushes the door open to see a small lump huddled underneath the mattress.

"Come on Gabe you need to get up. You can't stay in your bed all day..." Sam sat down on the edge of the bed and shook Gabriel gently. He heard a groan from underneath the duvet. He pulled it back to reveal the pale figure.

"Are you ok? You don't look well at all!" The angel had sweat on his forehead, soaking his pillow and his entire body was shaking. He tried to smile but he just groaned in pain.

"I have never felt like this Sammy. I think my vessel is trying to reject me." Sam racked his brains trying to figure out what was wrong with him. He grabbed a fresh pair of pyjamas for Gabriel and help him slip off the sweat drenched clothes. He saw all of the bruises and cuts from Asmodeus' torture to him which made him feel sick.

"Have you eaten anything since you got here?" Sam wrapped a thin blanket around the angel.

"Ugh I tried to cook some steak. I think it was still a bit pink but I ate it anyways. Human food always tasted funny..." then it hit Sam.

"Gabe I think you have got the stomach flu. It's from when you eat contaminated food. I should've cooked you a meal or something."

Gabriel waved his hands. "It's fine Moose. I'll be fine. I need to sleep it off that's all." He curled up into a ball, knees close to his chest. Sam stood up gently, grabbing the bucket from the other side of the room and sitting in an armchair that was next to Gabriel's bed, the one Sam often sat in when Gabriel had his nightmares.

An hour later

"How do you humans cope with this?" Gabriel said through laboured breaths as he was still hunched over the bucket. Not long had he fallen asleep that he felt something he had never felt before. The sick rising in his throat until it made its way out of his mouth and onto his bedsheets. Luckily Sam was there to hold the bucket as the second lot of food made its way up the angels throat. The sound of the sick hitting the bucket made Gabriel cringe as his stomach twisted in agony.

"You just need to let it run its course I'm afraid." Sam sighed as rubbed Gabriel's back. He felt sorry for the poor guy, having never experienced any kind of human illness before must be strange to him. After a further twenty minutes of Gabriel throwing up he was experiencing a different kind of agony in his stomach, a lot further down. Sam noticed and half walked and half dragged him to the toilet down the hall. He pushed Gabriel down onto the toilet seat as everything cane out of his rear. Gabriel covered his ears, blocking out all the sounds.

"Shhhh it's okay....just breath. You're going to be fine." Sam sat on the edge of the bathtub and cuddled the angel close to his chest, rubbing his head trying to sooth him. It wasn't until Gabriel pushed him away and vomited onto the floor that he realised how sick he really was. He ran around the bunker, grabbing clean clothes, towels and medicine and sat himself cross legged in front of the angel, making sure that he didn't move a muscle until Gabriel was better.

A few days later

Gabriel still had the stomach flu a few days later. Sam would stay vigil day and night, barely sleeping or eating or even showering to make sure that Gabriel was back to full health. The angel could barely keep a slice of toast down before he would be hacking it up ten minutes later. As Sam walked into the kitchen Dean stopped him and sat him down on the chair.

"Sammy you need to sleep buddy. You've been really struggling these past few days." Sam rubbed his eyes and yawned.

"I'm fine dean. I just need to make sure Gabe is ok." Dean shook his head. Sam pushed dean out of the way and stood up. His vision suddenly got blurry and he swayed sideways, barely able to catch the table on time. Dean caught him and guided him to the ground.

"You sure you don't need help Sammy? You go to bed, I'll deal with angel boy."  Sam nodded before heading to his own room. As dean walked down the corridor he heard the sounds of retching coming from the bathroom. He pushed the door open and found the angel curled by the toilet bowl, only in his underwear and the sweat dripping off his forehead. He was paler than any white sheet that dean had seen. Dean sat down against the wall next to Gabriel.

"I've sent Sam to his bed. He's been up all day and night caring for you. He just wants to see you better." Dean grabbed the medicine from beside the sink and offered it to Gabriel who shook his head.

"I've tried. I can't keep it down." He turned his head, spitting into the bowl. Dean rubbed his back.

"Well I'm here to help now." Gabriel smiled briefly before he let out a wet sounding belch. He ducked his head into the toilet and vomited so hard that dean started to worry that he might rip the lining in his stomach. He positioned himself behind the angel, rubbing his stomach to try and ease the pain in some way. It wasn't long until Gabriel was back on top of the toilet again with a bucket in his lap, the sickly angels body was trying to expel single bit of contaminated food from out of his body. Dean waited until he felt that Gabriel had finished before helping him up and over to the couch. They both sat there, Gabriel curled up with a cushion under his head, his face wet with a mixture of sweat and tears.

"Tell Sammy when he wakes up that I appreciate everything he does for me. I know he cares about me. And I care about him too." Dean smiled and patted Gabriel's leg.

"I promise."

It only took two more days for Gabriel to get better from his stomach flu and Dean was there to help him get better. It wasn't until Sam then got sick was Gabriel able to return the favour of helping his favourite moose back to full health.
