I sat with Kira today at lunch who kept looking at Scott with a sort of longing look in her eyes. "What are they talking about?" She asked me and faced me while holding her jumper and books in her arms.

"They're talking about near death experiences and the side effects." I answered with a shrug. Being invisible has perks like nobody pays attention to you while eavesdropping in on their conversations.

"You mean bardo?" She says and I nod my head while playing with my skateboard. She gets to her feet and packs up her stuff. I raise my head and don't look at her, part of being a twin, you mostly always know what the other one is getting ready for.

"We're going to talk to them aren't we?"

"Yes, now hurry up." Rolling my eyes I get to my feet and hurry after her. As we get closer I feel the defensiveness come over me and the urge to not be around Scott or Isaac, especially Scott comes over me. I take a breath and picture the tree stump and draw on my favourite memory, feeling at ease and a tingly feeling come over me.

Kira stopped at the groups table and everyone falls silent. "Hi, hi sorry I couldn't help over hearing what you guys were talking about," she stuttered out and shocked looks passed around the table and I had to resisted the urge of an eye roll. "And I think we might actually know what your talking about."

She turns to me and gives me a look which I felt slightly irritated at but forced a smile. "There's a Tibetan word for it it's called bardo, it literally mean in between state. The state between life and death." I noticed the whole time I was talking my sister was staring at Scott who was staring back at her.

Lydia put on an innocent smile. "And what do they call you?" She was directing the question to Kira but I took a small step towards the strawberry blonde only to have Scott's voice ring out.

"Kira," I stared at the boy in shock because nobody ever remembers her name, or even mine. Looks went to Scott and he stares back at them, "she's in our history class." Lydia stares at me as I shake off the feeling of claustrophobia and the urge to bolt.

"So are you talking Bardo in Tibetan Buddhism or Indian?" Lydia asked but I could see she was playing me into a trap which I didn't like. Either it showed on my face or something else happened but Kira kicked my foot, hard, and I put on the sweetest smile I could act, which was really good because it passed the test.

"Either I guess," Kira says as she sat down next to Stiles, which made me jealous slightly but I pushed it away and continued listening. "But all the stuff you guys are saying, all that happens in bardo. There are different progressive states, where you can have hallucinations, some you see some you just hear. And you can be visited by peaceful rahul deities."

"rahul deities," Isaac says trying to spell it out. "And um what are those?"

"Like demons," I answer as Stiles nods his head.

"Demons, why not?" Something occurred to me and I turned to Alison and she stares back.

"Is that why you shot the arrow at her," I gestured to Lydia "because you hallucinated?" The whole table goes quiet and stares at me as I wait for my answer even though she's all given me one by looking completely uncomfortable and shocked.

"Carly!" Kira says completely shocked. I turned to her in surprise.

"It's just a question Kira, people do it all the time." I put my skateboard on the ground and shrug me shoulders "see you later." I take another look at Stiles before I found myself saying "hope you close that door soon." I rode off back to the library.

~~Stiles' POV~~

Scott and I went to Deaton after school to ask about my hallucination I had in coaches class where all of the class, even coach where doing sign language. "It sounds like your subconscious is trying to communicate with you." He says as we walk to the working part of the vet clinic.
