Chapter 4

I was in the sheriffs office with Agent McCall and Sheriff Stilinski discussing what happened tonight. I was sitting in a chair next to Kira with Lydia on my other side. Stiles was next to Scott who was next to Kira.

"So when did you get there?" Mr McCall asked.

"At the same time." Stiles answered.

"Same time as who?" Asked McCall.

"Same time as me." Scott said as stiles pointed to his best friend.

"By coincidence?" Asked McCall as I stared at my phone.

"What do you mean coincidence?"

"That's what I'm asking you, did the two of you arrived at the same time was that coincidence?" I looked at the sheriff to see he was trying not to laugh and I would've been to if I wasn't trying to keep the haunting memories at bay.

"Are you asking me?" Scott asked his dad.

"I think he's asking me." Stiles said to Scott.

"I think he's asking both of you." Lydia said to both Scott and stiles.

"I think he doesn't care who answers his questions just so we can all go home." I said hugging a pillow to my chest and played with the frayed edges to avoid eye contact.

"Ok let me answer the questions." Agent McCall said as he took a breath and realised his mistake. We all waited for what he was going to do as Mr Stilinski tried once again not to laugh. "Let me ask the questions." Stiles gave him a wink "so I have this absolutely. Barrow was hiding in the chemistry closed at school, someone left him two coded messages on the black board telling him to kill Kira and Carly. Then barrow took Kira and Carly to a power sub station and tied them up with the intention on electrocuting them, which blacked out the entire town."

"Sounds about right." I said as everyone nodded.

"How'd you know he'd take them to a power sub station?" He asked stiles.

"Well cause he was an electrical engineer so where else would he take them?" Stiles answered.

"That's one hell of a deduction there stiles." McCall asks trying to catch him out.

"Where we'll what can I say I take after my pops he's in law enforcement." Stiles says giving his a dad a wink causing both his dad and me to laugh. Stiles faces me and I catch his eye and smile, a real one, and turn away. His dad coughs to cover the laugh.

"Stiles just answer the man." Stiles turns away from me and answers.

"We made a good guess."

"What we're the two of you doing?" Scott's father asks his son and Kira.

"Eating sushi," Kira says.

"Eating pizza," Scott says at the same time. They look at each other, uncomfortable, as they try again.

"Eating pizza," Kira says this time.

"Eating sushi," Scott says as I try not to laugh.

"Eating sushi and pizza." They said at the same time. McCall turned to the sheriff.

"You believe this?" He asked.

"To be honest I haven't believed a word stiles has said since he learned how to speak." I raise my eyebrows and stiles has a look that's says 'yeah probably true'. "But I think these kids found themselves in the right place at the right time. Those girls sitting there are very lucky for it."

"Kira, is that how you remember it?" She turns to Scott and everyone leans forward, there eyes anxious and she nods her head.

"Yes." Then he turns to me.
