-If things are misspelled in the start where she is writing, it is because child is 11, child is practicing also, I'm making this in the future yay! Every thing screwed up-

"July 15th, 2016. Two days after the incident. Mark was let out of the hospital, and Ladia opted we go home. However, Mark wanted to keep her to her promise of getting that room in livable condition, and that ment shopping. Ladia couldn't refuse but she forced Mark to sit in the cart so he didn't strain his body. I think she just wanted to embaress him. The guest room was yellow, from what Mark told me, so we got furniture to match. He wouldn't listen to me when I said I didn't need it. Plus with some new clothes, he got me this notebook. Regardless shopping took the whole day. I want to seem grateful so I'll use it." She erased a few words and rewrote the last sentence, "I am grateful so I'll use it. Either way, I feel like what happened to Mark was my fault. As soon as I come something puts him into the surgery room- I don't want to be the reason why he's hurt."

The little girl let out a sigh as she sat on the new bed that had been moved in by Sean and Ladia, who refused to let Mark help. They had also stuck a few things on the wall and gotten a few dressers for her clothes, but she refused a lot of stuff.

"I think he's okay now, he was let out of the hospital- and the doctor said as long as he doesn't drink alcahol he should be fine

"I think he's okay now, he was let out of the hospital- and the doctor said as long as he doesn't drink alcahol he should be fine. But seeing Ladia so broken, and Mark so... Lifeless. It scared me."

She flipped to the back of the page, ignoring the light patter of paws, from a dog Mark had introduced as Chica. Ryan and Matt had accidentally left her in a room with a closed door for a day, and with all the chaos going down no one spotted that she was gone. Regardless, they had to clean up the poop in the room and take care of the dog's needs.

"I'm getting used to everyone. Sadly though, Sean will be leaving after the weekend and Matt went out of state with Ryan to see their families. But I'll still have Ladia and Mark." Cursing filled the hall as a bang resounded, and though the female flinched she figured the dog had tripped Sean since he let out an indignant sound as he baby talked an animal with a scold.

"I've realized that my "parents" are in the past. Mark promised to protect me and I believe him. We're going to the police station tomorow, and we all doubt that they'll send me back, not after they hear my side hopefully. I don't want to leave- I want to be happy and see smiles every day when I wake up."

The female glanced up as a voice echoed through the house, "Guys! I made lunch!" It was Mark's voice, which quickly hushed as Ladia responded with a furious tone. "You did what?! You were supposed to be resting you- oh I'm going to knock you out." Sudden steps ran down the hall and a deep yelp left Mark's mouth, silence.

"Despite the noise. I like it here. I have togo before Ladia forces Mark to sleep again, but I'll write again soon, buh-bye." Paige slid off her bed, buttoning the small red flannel over the tank top, (both being things Mark had bought for her) and fixing her jean shorts before running from her room and sliding down the halls partially in her rainbow socks. As she stopped and softly walked to the kitchen she saw Ladia, the female had her forehead against Mark's chest as he rested his chin on the back of her head. Her arms around his waist and his large hands rubbing her back softly, "You scared me you know?" Her voice was meek, vulnerable.

"I'm sorry Ladia, but I'm okay now, really. I have to get back to my normal routine, or I'll throw my whole schedule off balance. You can't keep worrying LaLa." His tone was soft, reassuring, and the maroon haired female sighed after chuckling. "I know. But, at least let me serve it?" She pulled back watching him nod as she grinned.

"Chica no please-" Sean was pushed onto the floor of the dining room from the force of the dog jumping on him. Chica may have been spayed but she was still strong, the force of the paws on his chest knocking the wind out of him. Paige slowly walked in as if she just arrived, calling the dog gently and making the animal jump off of the Irish man and obediantly trot over to Paige, like it knew to be careful.

"Good girl."

The praise was soft and as the green haired man stood he breathed in deeply, not saying anything as he attempted to get air in his lungs. Mark merely sat and chuckled playfully, letting Ladia put the soup he made in bowls along with passing out the sandwiches he made.

"Looks great." It was a simple lunch, but one that Paige felt the need to compliment none the less.

"I couldn't tell if that was sarcasm or not." Mark narrowed his eyes at the child in playful suspicion and with every ounce of guts she had, she scrunched up her face and stuck out her tongue playfully.

Mark gasped in feigned hurt before laughing softly, "You're too fabulous for my soup I suppose." It was nice to hear every one voice their happiness in a mix of laughs and chuckles. She felt like this was home, or at least how a home should feel, even if she was beginning to become more bold and comfortable. Many of the emotional and mental scars she had would take much longer to heal, these problems that she had didn't just disappear.

"Do you like your room? " The voice of Mark interuppted the child's thoughts.

"Mhm. Especially since that crazy grown man in the shopping cart helped me pick everything out." She could hear Sean yell the word burn from beside her. "You're just jealous I got to sit in the cart." He puffed out his cheeks in a playful pout, and Ladia reached over to ruffle his hair making him laugh softly.

"You're right. I'm totally jealous." The little girl toyed as she smiled back at Mark making him feel even happier.

She wasn't jealous, she was thankful.

Thankful for her new family.
