Skilar's POV

I must admit, I was nervous. I mean, I acted fine on the outside but on the inside, my heart was racing. I was going to meet Lauren's family. Sure, that doesn't seem like such a big deal but to me it does. Lauren doesn't seem like just another friend or anything like that, she's something much more.

"Hey Lauren! Hey-um, what's your name?" A really pretty tall girl with beautiful green eyes asked as she came running down the stairs.

"I'm Skilar," I replied shyly.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Dani." Dani said cheerfully then shook my hand.

"You can call her Dan if you want." Lauren said to me.

"Shut up, don't listen to her Skilar," Dani said playfully to Lauren. I just laughed at them. "Okay fine, you can call me Dan, I honestly don't care."

"Haha okay," I said through laughter.

"Okay, let's go Skilar. You gotta meet the rest of my family," Lauren said as she led me up the stairs. I followed Lauren up the stairs as a kind of attractive guy came down.

"Hey Laur and... who's this, Lauren?" The guy asked.

"Skilar, this is one of my brothers Alex; Alex, this is my new friend Skilar," Lauren said, introducing me to Alex. I did a little wave and smiled.

"Well, nice to meet you," he replied then continued on his way down the stairs.

"Where are you going?" Lauren asked him as he headed out of the front door.

"To see Audrey," he replied then shut the door.

"That's his girlfriend, Audrey, she's drop dead gorgeous and I don't know why she's dating Alex because he's ugly," Lauren said to me.

"HAHA I think he's kinda cute." I said through laughter, but not as cute as you, I said in my head.

"You can think that," she replied then turned and kept walking. I just shook my head and chuckled.

"Who's singing?" I asked as we turned the corner. Some voice was singing and it was AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL. "Whoever is, is REALLY good."

"Haha that's Lisa singing, she's one of my older sisters. She's really weird, just a warning," Lauren warned me as she began to open the door to a room that had singing coming from it. We entered her room to find the singing girl named 'Lisa' sprawled out on a bunk bed listening to music.

"Hello," I said shyly as the girl looked up, she was gorgeous. "Um... you have a really good singing voice."

"Thank you and my name is Lisa by the way," Lisa said with a smile as she introduced herself.

"I'm Skilar," I replied shyly. "Just wondering, how old are you? Sorry if I sound rude."

"No, everyone asks me how old I am haha. I'm 19, turning 20 in September," she answered.

"You're the same age as my brother, he sings and used to go to college," I said with a little laugh.

"That's pretty cool," Lisa answered excitedly.

"Okay, let's go Skilar, you gotta meet my other sisters and parents," Lauren said as we left her room.

"Haha what was that for?" I asked.

"I think she's interested in your brother, her ears perked up when she found out that you have a brother her age," Lauren said giggling.

"OHHHH!" I said laughing along with her.
