177. Commanders Return

Edwin was standing in a line alongside junior commanders in the disciplinary unit's reporting room. The three knights; Diodora, Octavian and Demetrious were standing in front of them facing them as their master's ordered was conjured above them in a cloud. His voice brought them to brink of shaking uncontrolably but they held their ground. It was going to be a long six months of nightshifts alongside his usual duties for Edwin who was a junior commander at the research and science division. He knew he had the most harshest and longest punishment amongst other commanders because he had allowed Serena to touch a file that only the Ronas were allowed to touch. His mother was going to make his life hell now that she was appointed her supervisor of his punishment. He had to spend long hours in her division at night time and report to her at midnight and dawn submitting reports and taking reports. He had hardly any time to sleep. Sleeping wasnt allowed on night shifts. Passing out from exhaustion was allowed and warlocks had a high tolerance to sleep so it was going to be a tough six months.

Octavian spoke "Now that you have heard the verdicts, you report to your heads of divisions. All of you start your night shifts from tonight. All of you except Zachary of course, who is at the infirmary. You are all dimsmissed to attend to your division. Edwin of course is reporting to senior enforcer Alessia because senior commander Edward is also condemned to three months of night shifts. Edwin you must stay behind to speak to knight Demetrious who would give you your duties that you would complete since Knight Demetrious is acting head of science and research division for the next three months. All dismissed."

Edwin wasnt sure what to expect from Demetrious. He was hard to approach recently after his blood match was separated from him. He just looked furious and on edge all the time. No one dared to look at him, let alone talk to him. But again it was better to have Demetrious than Diodora or Octavian if a knight was supposed to be acting head of his division.

All commanders teleported away alongside the knights except for Edwin, Demetrious and Diodora.

Edwin noticed Diodora's eyes on him as she walked towards him as he was remaining in military stance. He cringed as he looked at her glare. She was looking up and down at him and smiling. Edwin looked past her at Demetrious waiting for instructions.

Demetrious had his arms crossed in front of his chest leaning to the wall and looking at his cousin with a disapproving stare.

Demetrious spoke "Diodora, could you leave us please."

Diodora licked her lips as she circled Edwin " I would like to stay. I like him. He is my boyfriend from this moment."

Edwin's eyes widened but he didnt make a sound. He was expecting her to make a move but not like this.

Demetrious spoke "I mean it. Leave."

Diodora turned to Demtrious as she snaked her arm around Edwin's shoulder "I declare him my ... partner. This changes his status. That would mean a reconsideration by our master about his nature of punishment. I cant allow these gorgeous eyes of his to lose sleep."

Demetrious spoke " My brother is occupied at the moment to respond to this query. You must leave and speak with him when he is free. I need to address Edwin now."

Diodora spoke "You are officially second in line to the leadership. Your order goes in such matters. It was declared in the new laws."

Demetrious sighed "Diodora. This is not up for discussion. Edwin can't be with you. He is not your type. He is with a new girl every week. Find yourself someone else. Now leave."

Diodora spoke " I want him." She then turned to Edwin and was about to speak when Demetrious stopped her " Diodora. Leave now.

Diodora sighed. She didn't argue. Demetrious was not to mess with now that his blood match was away from him. He was not violent but it didn't mean he was to be underestimated. He was a Ronas and his powers were slowly maturing further.
