It finally set in as I was walking down this empty dirt road, the fact that I was no longer in my comfort zone. I was in a strange place where I was considered strange. The feeling of not belonging brought a sensation of deja vu. It brought back sad memories of my early high school days in Cali. The memories of me walking around the halls with no one to go to or relate to. All I could do is hope this new situation will end as well as that one did.
After about a quarter mile of walking down dirt roads, I finally made my way in what Tulsa called "downtown". Unlike San Francisco, downtown was not covered in tall skyscrapers that soar above you as you walked, but small buildings like diners and convenience shops. As I was walking, people stared at me; some looked at me like I was an alien, some looked me up and down and whistled, and others looked down right disgusted. I was so confused. "What is this place?!" I thought to myself.
I just stared at this town trying to understand how I just walked back in time....... #$## All of the sudden, a figured came running out of the movie theater and before I knew it, the figure crashed in to me. I landed flat on my back and hit my head on the hard concrete and the figure landed right on top of me........ and that's the last thing I remember.
