All the guys ran outside and jumped in to the tailgate of Darry's green pickup truck. Steve and Soda were doing front flips over the chain link fence and the rest of the boys were yelling and screaming. These were some of the rowdiest guys I've ever met. Still not completely comfortable with all these guys, I walked slowly over the the truck and opened the front passenger side door and hopped in while Pony got in to the backseat and sprawled out. Pony opened a small window connecting to the tailgate so we could talk to the boys while we were driving. Finally Darry got in and put the keys in to the ignition. The minute the truck started, Darry heard a phone call from inside the house. Everyone did a simultaneous "ugh" as Darry exited the truck and ran inside the house. He yelled back "Sorry Adara, gotta take this!" I slumped down in my seat hoping this wouldn't take to long. "You're in for a real treat after this call." Pony said, rolling his eyes. After about 2 minutes Darry came back and started the truck. "I hope you don't mind, but we're gonna have to make a 20 minute pit stop, that okay with you?" Darry asked me. At this point, I didn't even care. I just had to start thinking of a good explanation for my parents when I get home. I smiled and nodded at him. As we pulled out of the driveway, nobody asked Darry what the phone call was about, but after what Pony said to me, I assume I'm the only one to didn't know. We drove out of the small rundown neighborhood and then through the town a little bit. After 5 minutes of driving, we finally pulled in to a small parking lot for a building with bars on the window. I did a slight gasp when I looked up to see where we were. I read a sign above the building that said 'Tulsa Jail House'.
