AU: Alex, John and Lafayette are colleges students. Alex and Lafayette go to the Cafe where John works and Alex falls for him as well as John fall for Alex.
Mon amie, you look horrible," Lafayette cringed and patted Alexander's head. Their poor friend honestly looked très mauvais (very bad). His bags under his eyes had somehow gotten worse, making it look like his eyes had huge shadows beneath them. Alexander looked much paler than usual, almost in a malnourished way. And his eyes were bloodshot. It was a very sad sight. Almost as if every time Hamilton tried to sleep, he was slapped awake by someone, "What if I put a hint of makeup on you, mon petit ami?" Alex just shrugged.
"I don't care," he yawned and moved the hair out of his face, "But afterward, we are getting coffee,"
"Deal!" Lafayette sprinted out of the room and came back with their make up bag. They got some primer, concealer, powder and color corrector out. They carefully spread the primer around Alexander's face and then put some red color corrector and masked the bags. Then right after, they put powder on top and finished off with some concealer. Hamilton looked so much better.
"Voila!" Lafayette stepped back and looked at the masterpiece they had made. It was a huge change to say the least, "You look magnifique mon amie!" Lafayette clasped their hands together and sighed, "Do you still want the coffee?"
Alexander and Lafayette walked into the coffee shop down the street called "Not your Cup of Tea". It was a really cozy yet sophisticated joint that was every college students ideal hangout, not to mention the power outlets at every table and bar seat. Anddd free wifi. Walking in, the scent of coffee beans and sweet syrup hit you like a brick wall, not a glass door. You were expecting it and it was strong.
"Would you like our normal booth?" Lafayette asked. Alexander nodded and sat down. He started thinking about what he had due for his classes when something caught his eye. No, someone. The baristas were switching shifts, and the one who was replacing the lady who had just finished her shift, was nothing below stunning. He was slightly taller than Alexander, but wayyy more built. His dress shirt was tight against his large biceps, his forearms covered with veins. He wore a navy blue apron with the shops logo on it, as well as his cap. His curly hair was in a ponytail and flowed out of the back of his head like a waterfall. He wanted to go talk to him, ask him for his number and marry him, but he had only just laid eyes on him.
"What are you... OHHH SACRE BLEU!" Lafayette bounced up and down in their seat with giddy happiness, "Mon petit ami has fallen in amour!"
"No! I have not! He's cute, that's all!" Alex retorted a little to loud, causing almost everyone in the small shop to turn their heads and stare, which unfortunately also included the cute barista. Hamilton turned red and covered his face in his folded arms. He was beyond embarrassed. God, what did he think of him now?
John Laurens was about as straight as his vision when he was wasted. He had known he was gay since he had seen a cute guy in third grade and told his mother that he wanted to kiss him. Being the "gay friend" was honestly annoying sometimes. His friend, Hercules would always tease him about liking all of his friends and how he would hit on every guy if he was given the chance. Herc also tried to set him up a few times, but failed miserably either leaving John heartbroken or disgusted. But he didn't mind. He hardly even found attractive guys around anymore. That was, of course, until a certain guy had walked in this afternoon. He was walking out of the bathroom, dreading his shift when someone brushed past him. An short man with long dark brown hair swept into a ponytail sat down in a booth and started talking with his friend. Laurens sprinted into the back room and attempted to sneak glances of the cute guy. It wasn't even that cold outside but he was wearing at least four layers, a scarf, mittens and heavy boots. The tip of his nose and cheeks were flushed red. He was adorable.
