"Come on," he whispered, tugging at her hand. Jack waited a few more seconds before she turned away from the tower, facing him with a brave expression.
"Ok." Rapunzel breathed.
Jack was talking as Rapunzel was worrying, thinking that her mother would pop out at any given moment.
This morning was nerve wrecking, her jumping as jack kissed her awake.
"Morning sunshine." He laughed. A foul taste spread throughout her mouth, so it remained closed as she smiled and went off to the bathroom.
A pair of cold hands touched her waist, wrapping tightly around her stomach as she brushed her teeth.
Jacks chin rested on her shoulder as he hunched over, the prickling sensation of frost spreading over his hoodie and through to her skin.
It was a slight shock to her senses, her body waiting a few seconds before the cold spread and became nothing but natural to her.
"Why don't you take that off?" He muttered, tugging at the blue material that concealed her upper half and most of her thighs.
Rapunzel leaned down to spit, watching as the water washed everything away. She tried to think of a witty response as the tooth brush was set down, but the only thing coming to mind was Gothel.
"Jack what if mother catches us?"
He only sighed, kissing her cheek in the mirror before leading her out of the bathroom.
"She won't. You got her to leave remember? What do we have...three days? Your birthdays tomorrow, it'll be fine."
"But what if its not fine." She pouted, standing still as he tried to keep walking.
"Would I let anything happen to you?" He asked. She cringed, feeling the hidden bruises of her mothers creation. That was the one thing jack couldn't protect her from.
"No." She muttered.
"We'll then, lets get you dressed, the snows just starting to melt but its still cold."
"It's usually already spring when my birthdays here." She said pointedly.
"Opps." He whispered against her mouth as he leaned down for a distraction kiss.
His hands began to pull off the hoodie, bunching the material between his fists.
"No." She gasped, not wanting him to see what mother had done. The purple marks stung, but the pain his eyes would hold if he saw them would be worse.
Jack pouted, trying to understand the rejection."I-I just want to wear this, it's warm."
"Oh. Well what can i wear? And i think you'll need pants." Jack's smirk made her blush, giggling as his hands tickled at her sides.
"Just let me get some material."
"I don't know," he said, rolling a berry between his fingers. Rapunzel popped the sweet in her mouth, sticking her tounge out to show the new dyed color."If you put enough in it will." She told him, holding out a handful of blue berries.
"Could I have red like you?" The blue looks too cold. I'm sick of being cold." His eyes were staring into hers, the intensity becoming too much as she grabbed some red berries.
After a few tries, Jacks tounge was a deep red, the same shade of Rapunzels cheeks as she layed on the ground laughing. She watched on though the frosted bits of grass, holding her stomach as he attempted to see the new warm color.
"I've never seen you in pants before." Jack smiled, eyeing the young girl up and down.
"I've never seen you in a t-shirt before." He looked beautiful in a plain black, short sleeved shirt. She looked breath taking in matching black pants.
"The colors would have been better if there wasn't only black." She pouted.
"I think you look great in anything." He whispered.
"I think you look great in anything." She teased him.
"Don't mock me." They both took off laughing, the fear of Gothel only half present.
