Bill got out of the local jail hours later after Grayson had left because his dad needed help with something. We were waiting for him.

Whoever it was that posted bail for him paid $50,000 to get him out. Whoever it was really cared. I couldn't figure out why though. I had came to the conclusion overnight that it must have either been a dirty judge or a stupid judge that let him get bailed out. Or both. They had ruled that the kidnap wasn't first-degree. It just had to be a dirty judge.

There was a grim look on his face as he exited the building in tattered jeans and a dirty T-Shirt. And behind him trailed a familiar face.

Even with a cap on I could easily tell who is was.

Keith Weston. My heart stung. How hadn't I realized sooner? The more I looked at Keith, the more he resembled Marlon, my ex-boyfriend so much. The mocha-colored skin. The curly hair. The only difference was that Marlon was slightly taller and he had hazel eyes while Keith had chocolate brown ones.

I felt Kiersten's hand on my shoulder as we sat in the car.

They both got into the car, trying their best to avoid the flashing cameras and Delaney Carter's annoying voice.

It soon rolled down the street into the distance. And we followed closely behind.

It was about an hour before Keith pulled into the driveway of a nice luxurious home in Northem, three cities away from our own. I parked down the street and waited for them to get out the car and make their way into the house.

Kiersten's chest heaved up and down as she nervously shook her leg. "I was all for this a few hours ago but now I'm not so sure. How are we gonna break into an occupied home? What if they catch us?"

They won't. We're the stealthy ninjas. We just have to be as quiet as possible." I responded, trying to joke.

"But we don't know the layout of the house. The living room could be right in front of the door and they could be chilling in there."

I shrugged and went into my back pocket and gripped a heavy metal object.

"You didn't bring this for nothing now did you?" I said, wiggling the pistol in her face. Kiersten had told me that this gun was loaded with blanks so I could scare Bill and Keith. I was all for it.

She had gotten it from her father's sock drawer. Two of them. She had her own in her back pocket also loaded with blanks. We were ready.

"Okay, let's go." I said, as we quickly got out the car and trailed the bushes leading up to his house.
