I'm a crane. I'm a crane.

This helped me drown out the loud wails of Bill as he wobbled around in the seat in pain. I loomed at Kiersten and instantly felt uncomfortable. It wasn't that I felt bad for Bill, but the sinister look on Kiersten's face made my stomach tight with knots. I took a deep breath and remained calm.

"Do you have any words?" I asked, gripping the gun a little harder because the sweat from my palm was making the handle slippery. I struggled to get the huge lump in my throat to go down. "What the fuck do you want huh?!" Bill wailed.

"Answers!! I want to know who sent you to kidnap us."

"It was–"

"No one," Kieth finally spoke up, the bass in his voice practically shaking the room. "You think you're gonna get answers from us? You're asking the wrong people."

"Then who should we be asking?" I asked. Kieth chuckled. Oh how he sounded just like Marlon... "How about your boyfriend, sweet pea." My heart skipped a beat.

"W-what? G-Grayson? He would never...what are you–?"

"Not that boyfriend dimwit. Marlon."

"He's dead. What the hell are you talking about?" Kiersten snapped. She snatched the gun from my hand and jammed it into Keith's temple. "Stop playing games with us!"

"Does it look like I'm playing games? I'm as serious as a heart attack. Your little boyfriend isn't dead. But he is part of the reason we're in this shit. Including me," After he said that he looked far off into another part of the room, clenching his jaw as if wanted to say something but his body was physically forcing him not to. "That's all you need to know."

This time, I wasn't a crane. I was more like a ghost. I was just a spirit in the room whose bodily actions couldn't actually manifest into something physical. I was just there with no control. All of my limbs were not connected to me. My skin turned pale white and my hands were clammy with sweat. Kiersten grabbed my shoulder. "Sienna? You're about to fall over." She said, looking at me worriedly. I still couldn't find any words to say. My mouth just hung slightly open as I stood completely still. Shock couldn't begin to explain what I was feeling at that very moment.

Just then, the only thing that could have possible snapped me out my trance, did just that. We heard police sirens in the distance. "Oh shit, Sienna let's go." Kiersten yanked on my arm pulling me away from the two men who I loathed.

"Yeah run away bitches. The cops will be on your tails in no time!" Bill shouted, still cupping his bloody eye. The blood had already covered part of his pants and shirt. Kiersten pulled me back the same way we came but not before I stole one last glance at
Kieth. He was staring directly at me.

"Let's go!"
