Chapter 6: To Aquarius Island

As they arrive at Mermaid Bay, Loki asked one of the pirates to hire a ship. As Loki was shocked of such a high price and begged for a discount to a fellow. As the pirate denied the offer, Loki got more aggressive. Then the pirate realised the moody atmosphere and realise it was Captain Laurence's son. He was relieved that the son was alive and hugged him, Loki realized it was Uncle Axel. Axel met Alina and Katelyn and secretly asked Loki "Hey Loki, it that your girlfriend, the one with the purple hair." Loki replied with a blushed face "Um... no not yet she isn't," with a small smirk on his face. Axel knew he was talking about and laughed. He allowed Loki, Alina and Katelyn to borrow the ship. As they were about to set sail to Aquarius Island, Uncle Axel yelled "Bye, hope I see you again, visit me and my family!" All of them waved and sailed. As they almost arrived at the Aquarius island, they met some of the mermaids and mermen. As they arrived, the first thing they hear is soldiers' footsteps. They thought they were going to get caught but a stranger came and told them that there are visitors from Binura island. They were thankful and wanted to return the favour, then the stranger named himself. "I am Prince Eric Pegkelon, 2nd prince of the Enchanted Kingdom," As Eric told the group. They introduced themselves and Eric was beaming with satisfaction, then Eric remembered to introduced Ace and Rex, his two guards. Rex attitude was cheerful, carefree and friendly, on the other hand Ace was serious, stubborn and bad-tempered. Alina realised that they were polar opposites and tried not to mention that. As they entered the Kingdom, many of the creatures stared at them with fearsome eyes, as they never met another creature that wasn't a Kelpie, Unicorn or Pegasus. Loki and Katelyn was uncomfortable but Alina was not afraid one bit. As they greeted the king with kindness, he was amazed on how beautiful the stripes on Alina, it was a fabulous shade of midnight black. As the king was fascinated in the girl, he told them to stay for the choosing, ceremonial ball. Eric insisted to bring them to the Prehistoric Library, as they would rather do that than standing all day. As Alina made the atmosphere more vivid, Loki and Katelyn were surprised to see a side of Alina that was hidden for a long time. As they were searching for books, Eric told that he read all the thousands of books since he was a child. As everyone else, Alina had a good eyes and saw a secret lever. She pulled it, a hidden door opened and was shocked that there was an unexplainable door. Alina was curious and wanted to investigate the secrets of the library. As they were about to enter, they heard books falling from the shelf. Ace  yelled "Who's there? reveal yourself!" As the person came out, the two guards straight away bowed down. Eric wouldn't believe it was his older brother, Gene. Eric thought that Gene was too busy to meet them, but he had some free time. As Gene first laid eyes on Alina, he was love struck. As he was about to get close to Alina, Loki quickly defended her. As the atmosphere was changing to rivalry, Alina punched both and told them to quit it or the mood will get worse. As they both agreed, she still could feel of their anger for each other and avoid the both of them. Katelyn and Eric could totally see the love triangle between them and was about to laugh, when Alina was back to the icy eyes. Eric told Ace to protect the entrance and Gene could come with them to see through the unilluminated hallway. As they entered the door automatically closed like lightning and Dallas wasn't quick enough, so he told Rex to take care of the two masters. As Alina and Katelyn used their nocturnal eyes to guide the guys, Alina saw they writing on the wall and she was the only one who could read it . As they finally reached the end of the hallway, a sign was on the door and it was shining bright, so the others could see. It said "Take what you need and leave, make sure greed doesn't fall upon your heart or a dreadful fate will occur." As everyone was aware of the warning, they went in. The room was filled with ancient treasures and scrolls. As everyone was captivated in the wonders, Alina was drawn to the riches but a book with an emerald coloured cover and it was protected by a barrel of an unknown magic. As Alina came closer, she was able to get the book and she said that she has a feeling like the book was an important part of her future. As she left the room she made sure that no one else took anything and no one did, as if they didn't want to or being obedient. As they were at the door, a voice that only Alina, Katelyn and Loki said "good choice," then the door finally opened. Ace was happy but they had to hurry it was nearly time for the ball. When the time for the ball, The boys were waiting for the girls. Loki was ready to ask Alina for the first dance, same as Gene. They still hated each other, but that was going to become worse when Alina and Katelyn came out. Everyone intention was to Alina, even the king himself. When Alina came down the stairs with her ocean blue dress, both asked her at the same time. She just avoided both of them and asked Rex he wanted to dance, he agreed and the happily danced. Gene and Loki was sulking until the next dance but she still avoided the both. As it was time for Gene to choose his wife, he straight away knew which one. Gene grabbed the ring out and proposed to Alina, He said those 4 words "will you marry me" with a smile that tries to persuade you. Alina was shocked, as everyone was looking at her for her answer. As Alina looked straight at Katelyn, then Loki, she got afraid and said "please wait", then she ran off. As both, Gene and Loki ran to find her, everyone was shocked with the sudden answer. As both couldn't keep up with her speed, Gene asked Loki what about he likes about Alina. As Alina was actually close, she listen to the conversation. He detailed his answer with a lot with emotion, even Gene was impressed. As Alina heard the unexpected confession, she was on the verge of tears. As she ran out of her spot, she quickly ran to the palace room she was staying in. Gene and Loki went back to the castle and they were told that she ran to her room. After that night, she couldn't look at Loki in the eyes. She told the king, that she decline the proposal and Gene was heart-broken. The king wanted her to stay but the Queen told about the book, he was surprised and told her to do what she wants to because it's her own future. Gene was sad but he had to look like a royal, Alina felt sorry for him and said that they will always be close comrades. Before they went to get the ocean's pearl, Eric begged his father to let him go with them. The king wanted his son to stay but he accepted the terms, the king insisted to bring along Ace and Rex. As they got to the ship, they waved good bye to the citizens. They sailed off to the deepest part of the sea and dived in. As they swam to the bottom of the sea the saw the shine from the pearl even though it was nearly pitched black. As they arrived they had to answer a riddle, if not in time they will surely suffocate. The riddle was what is as light as a feather yet no person can hold it for more than 5 minutes. As everyone was stumped, Katelyn took the first guess but it was wrong. Then Eric took the next guess, it was also wrong. They only had one more guess and Alina was chosen, she guessed and no one would have gotten it but she did. As the spirit was impressed with her confidence, he accepted her with the pearl. As they finally swam back up, they took big breaths and went back to the ship. As Loki wanted to help Alina up, she avoided him and got up herself. Katelyn was satisfied but also worried because she has never seen Alina react to Loki like this. As they got back to Binura Island, they went straight for the final items to complete the the spell. Alina realised that the adventure together was going to end and was a bit upset because she remembered all the memories.
